Is Kontakt 5 stable on Receptor 2?

I have a Receptor 2+ Pro Max (I believe this is the current top of the line.) I recently updated the OS to the latest 1.9 and went through the process of installing Komplete 8 Ultimate. As others have reported I had problems with the Service Center freezing. What worked for me was installing the most recent Service Center from NI's website and then installing the custom Komplete 8 Service Center provided with the Receptor K8 installer.

In any event I am finding Kontakt 5 to be very unstable. It frequently freezes the Receptor during editing, and the Receptor constantly restarts when Kontakt 5 is running. What's odd is that it doesn't necessarily restart while under heavy demand. I'll be working on something else with K5 loaded, look up and see that the Receptor has at some point re-booted. I have found this unit to be rock-solid with Kontakt 4.24. Those K5 factory libraries sound great, but stability is paramount for my use of the Receptor.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Edited to add: I should mention that I updated to the latest Kontakt version 5.02 Should I go back the Kontakt 5 version on the original NI K8 drive?

Have you tried disabling dual core mode, both in Kontakt and the Receptor Setup page?

I know the latest Receptor OS is supposed to support Kontakt running in dual core more, but I had various stability issues that disappeared once I disabled it. I also found that Kontakt patches loaded quicker with dual core mode disabled, oddly!

Worth a shot anyway.

Which dual-core mode did you disable, Receptors or Kontakts?

Thanks for the tip Neil. With dual core mode deactivated for both the Receptor and the Kontakt 5 application the problem seems to have cleared up. (What was the point of that OS update then?) I've had a "Studio Drummer" groove playing all night with no issues. Dual core mode seems to work fine with Kontakt 4.24.
