Thanks for the heads up.
I have a UAD-1 and have been felt phased out for years since UA stopped plug development for the UAD-1. With the current power of processors the UAD platform is a dead duck and I'm not going down with the ship. Or giving them any more of my money. Native4ever! |

Trade your card in towards a UAD-2 Solo and then resell the Solo, it's the most money you're going to ever get for your UAD-1. |

Hi Eric, this sounds like a great deal but I live in the UK and as much as I'd love to trade in my 3 UAD-1 cards and upgrade via your shop I think the duty on the purchase will be so high it won't be cost effective. I've bought both hardware and software from you in the past and will still continue to purchase downloadable software from you in the future though. Do you know if this offer is available anywhere in the UK? |

According to the UAD Instance Chart 1x UAD SOLO can run between 2-3 times more plugins than a UAD-1 (depending on the plugin.) In certain cases 1x UAD SOLO will run less plugins than 3x UAD-1. Which means that with certain plugins loaded I might have less power if I upgrade to a SOLO. Unless I pay £400 more for a DUO the exchange might be a slight downgrade in terms of power. Is this correct? |

I've just checked and the offer is £130 per card in the UK. But all the UAD-2 cards in the UK are about 20% more expensive than the US possibly due to VAT. I believe importing any hardware usually adds on an average of 30% in duty and other fees. |
