But I don't agree that this is just an average VA. Unison mode is something where softsynth usually reveal their weaknesses IMO. To my taste they usually sound very weak and "phasey", especially when compared to analog poly synths. This is not the case with saurus. The Saurus unison mode sounds very powerful and not phasey at all. All the voices just glue together seamlessly like I have experienced with some of the hardware synths I am using. Filters sounds really nice and so do the osc sync. The way the pwm sounds is just gorgeous. I can't believe my ears. I certainly can't hear the "hyped highs" that people talk about. I 100% agree to all of that. I just purchased the full version after playing less than 1 hour with the demo. Normally i am not such fast with a new purchase and normally i did not want to buy another VA plugin soon... The price of 99 Euros (incl. VAT so no extra cost) is OK and the copy protection is a license file which is OK too. BTW just based on the audio demos i would maybe have not purchased the plugin. This shows the advantages of a real product demo against audio demos. filter303 wrote: Diva, DCAM and Saurus = I agree to that too but for me it's Diva, DCAM, Saurus and Synthix = Ingo ---- "Atmospheric Transients" for PPG Wave 3.V "Analog vs Digital" for Blofeld http://soundcloud.com/ingoweidner Last edited by Ingonator on Thu Apr 05, 2012 10:20 am; edited 2 times in total |

Yeah, please get rid of the 10 minute window, frankly that sort of demo makes me not want to demo it for very long. I don't mind the 'demo' sound, that is enough to keep anyone from being able to use it in an actual track. I don't like time-out demos either, I really like the 'audio watermark' approach and IMO it is the best way to give us a chance to demo and protect yourself against abuse. |

Nothing new on tone2 demo limitations. Developer is paranoid, so what you can expect, huh? Soundwise, nah. It is okay. Kinda plastic, not analog at all, but still okay. There are much better synths out there, with similar pricetag, so no thanks for this plastic synth. |

As we speak abou analog emulation: The 24dB LP filter seems to be modeled on the Moog filter, at least it's called "24dB Moog Lowpass".
This calls for a comparison with my Moog Slim Phatty soon (and with the corresponding filter model in Diva)... Ingo |

I used paypal an hour ago but still nothing...didn't receive confirmation mail or anything...strange. Markus is this normal, why such a delay? |

This is the thing about Tone2 sound. How lush it is without the need for chorus. I've noticed this before. |

am I the only one who is pressing constantly on the up and down arrow for the preset/bank change instead of the squares next to it? Those areas need to go...I find it so intuitive to press on them to change sounds or is the full version different and the arrows are also functional?

Try pressing 5 times the shift button and then set the accessibility options to on. Remember to enable the "troll-lo-lo" option by clicking on it! |
