No good news from the developer site: "Sorry Mac users, it's Windows only." Anyway, you could try this... http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ Thanks for sharing that preview and for the sound design tips bzur. Plex is definitely a bit tricky at first, very different method than anything I'm used to, but a cool concept taking lows from one instrument and mixing with highs from another. Should be a good learning experience trying to put something together with it. Really good news |

And play with all those free windows only plugs I've been so jealous of. |

Bzur, that preview sounds amazing. Truly inspiring. I have been playing around with Plex for some time now, have not come up with anything interesting so far.. I will try some more... |

Here's a preview of my track, hope it could be encouraging for you and all OSCers are thinking to give up this challenge: http://soundcloud.com/bzur/bzur-whispered-shouts-preview Hi Bzur, This ckrackling issue comes together with a lack of time. I have to prepare a presentation I have to hold at the end of April. So I wouldn't have so much time as usual for the OSC. But your preview is showing me that PLEX2 is able to do much better sounds than I expected after my experience. cheers, Photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

Shame about the crackling and general interface issues, I guess that's what happens when there is no synth vote and with it testing on more systems etc.. Great sounding clip Bzur, nice with a non-VA sound for a change but I can hear the crackling even in the render.. |

Random FL crashes and even a BSOD at some point - |

I don't think this is FL or Plez causing this. I've tried this before when installing Proteus VX - gave me BSOD too. It simply would not work either. Just like Plex I load it up in FL - the GUI appears for like 5 seconds and then FL freezes and the whole thing goes BSOD.

It's ironic that Plex was selected despite being second choice after Augur because it was supposed to be so solid having been a Steinberg commercial product and recently updated to 64 bit, but Augur could have had less issues than that.. Ah, live and learn. |
