I'm trying Blade demo and, while definitely like it and will buy till the intro price is available, there are a few enhancements that I would really like to see:
1. The possibility to swap the central display among: XY pad, the partials spectrum (it is partial number on x axis and relative intensity on y axis), the waveform (oscilloscope) I think that being able to see what happens to the partials and to the waveform while we adjust harmolator parameters would be great help. 2. the possibility to use XY pad movement to morph between timbres (that is not altering the timbre. 3. The possibility to introduce non harmonic partials or to shift partials frequency (to create beats inside the tone) 4. The possibility to store XY pad movements to reuse them with many patches without re-recording them each time What do you think about it? |

Hi there
1) Swapping screen possibly, but you can already see the dynamic version of the spectrum, click on "DYM" button in the spectrum screen and it'll show you how the partials change over time 2) Interesting idea 3) Also interesting idea. 4) You can save XY paths already, and then reload them, though you can't do this in the demo. What I'd like to see in Blade (and Predator, and SBB, and Punch for that matter), is more FX slots. Why are you restricting users to only two? Is it because of CPU concerns? Surely that's not a consideration any more (in this age of Diva and SynthSquad).
Also have a question concerning the manual: it mentions the HQ reverb, which isn't in Blade AFAICS. Is the reverb in Blade the HQ one already, or was that an oversight? Great synth, btw, love programming it and discovering new vistas at every turn! |

If you donwload the latest demo, the spectrum screen is in the mod part right at the bottom , next to the fx button.
More fx's , that is a possiblity in future. HQReverb, problem with the manual that, should be fixed in 1.0.0b. And Welsey, actually where I live, Blade II was on the TV last night, but I didn't watch it Cheers Jon : RPCX |

I like this idea Janusz ---- Yamaha 01x + 2 x i88X, Muse Receptor Pro, Kawai K5000W, Novation Supernova, Yamaha RM1x, TC Electronic FireworX, Behringer BCR2000, HP DV7-2140eg - Core 2 Quad & Windows 7 32-bit, DAW - PreSonus Studio One Pro v.2 |

Hmm, could be interesting, having two sets of harmolator settings and having the x, y (or any modulation source for that matter, envelopes, lfos etc), being able to modulate between the two, I'll need to have a think about it.

Cheers Jon ... Or having two timbres selectable in the harmolator and a knob (in the harmolator) to morph between the two. This knob could then be modulated by xy pad as all the others in the harmolator. |
