Just a read a post from Ben where he said you guys hoped to ship 1.3 before Christmas 2011…I get how software goes and love alchemy so no complaints on my end. It sounds like there are some useful features (improved browser especially) so I'm just curious to know how that is coming along. |

its coming together nicely thanks, just a bit slower than we hoped. our publicly stated hope to have it ready before xmas is a good illustration why we should stick to our policy of only ever saying "it'll be ready when its ready".
rather than rush it out, we've been making sure its as bug free and usable as possible, and we've redone several aspects of the design after feedback from our testers and coming up with some new / better ideas. so, its still in beta testing, and we haven't been able to start tagging in earnest yet. cheers, col ---- [ Camel Audio Alchemy ] [ ucn netlabel ] "Its my firm belief that its a mistake to hold firm beliefs" |

I assume if I buy now, I will be upgraded to 1.3 for free. Correct? ---- This space has been unintentionally left blank. |

Yes, all point updates are free to registered users.
@Tp3 - the preset browser is the main new feature: searching, tagging and rating of presets. The full preset library will be tagged with attributes to make finding sounds much easier. Peace, Andy. |

Looking forward to that. It's an aspect of Omnisphere I enjoy a lot.
Keep up the fine work. ---- Will mix for fun |

Will there be a way to update existing Camel libraries to have attributes included? ---- Crime in multi-storey car parks. That is wrong on so many different levels. http://soundcloud.com/dan-ling |

Yes it's possible to assign attributes to existing presets. We will be doing this for the full set of Camel Audio sound libraries, but you can also set your own attributes and assign comments and tags that are searchable. Peace, Andy. |

Andy, will it interact with camelaudio's online rating system? We are considering user ratings upload for version 2. There just isn't enough time to include it in v1.30. For anyone else waiting for 1.30, we are getting closer to releasing 1.30 every day - not too long to go now, we're working on the last few bug fixes and features now. Peace, Andy. |

Definitely necessary.
Well I just checked and I have just over 5000 presets now. That is with only HALF of the Camel soundbanks, a few 3rd party libs, and some additional freebies. And I don't even own any of Simon's stuff. So I HATE to think how unmanagable it would be without this. ---- My main tools: Alchemy, Kontakt, Omnisphere, Padshop Pro and WIVI. |
