Hi Sascha,

Sounds great to me. I will look forward to hearing this next generation when it is ready.

Regards,

Hey, happy new year man !

No hangover for me, I'm always the one who drives. Don't like alcohol at all.

But the fact that my new year's eve was crappy was maybe a factor that sent me back thinking : 2012, plugins, MAGIX Wink.

Honestly, since I heard the comparison between FG-X and your custom build of ammunition, I always wondered if one day I'll read that news : "MAGIX released ammunition v1.5. Available as a single separate plugin".

Maybe I'm just a big dreamer Smile.

It fell off somewhere by accident as the web-site guys launched pro.magix.com the other day (which was quite some work, I heard). I assume it'll come back soon once the crew is back on board.

So is it planned to realease Ammunition as seperate plugin?

The sampltude website is a little bit confusing. There is information about a Analogue Modelling Suite Plus but when I click "buy" there is only a version without ammunition available.

Hi !

Just discovered that the AM Suite in the latest Samplitude Pro X Suite update has been updated to v2.0 !

They feature new GUI, more polished, with multiple enhancements it seems, but can't tell you what exactly.

the essential FX suite has also a new limiter if I'm right.

Maybe Sascha can explain what has really been updated soundwise concerning the AM Suite.

I remember that AM Munition could feature some algo tweaking that preserves the transients/punch better while still being loud.

Any word about that ?

That said, I imagine that Variverb Pro is going to be updated next, as well as the FX suite (corvex, ecox, filtox)...

Besides the better visual appearance, the main enhancements are xml-based presets browsing (instead of that crappy VST fxp/fxb anachronism) and x64 availability. Code was lifted from VST2.3 to 2.4 and a better UI lib and platform compatibility was achieved. ProX already includes Win x64 versions.
I'm currently adding the non-Samplitude stuff, such as upgrading the s/n unlock mechanism.

Exactly. Perhaps a hidden treasure in ProX. We haven't communicated it much yet (don't even have a manual yet), but some say it's killer. At least I sometimes favour it over am-munition, as it can be as loud but more transparent.

Overview of all other eFX is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=CCa PeKdozcM#t=165s (scroll to 02:45)

The eFX are also scheduled for a VST/AU release. TBA.

I mainly wanted the suite plugins to perform like before (although I've completely refactored them and kept only basic DSP code). Only minor things had changed, like for instance an additional 'transients' slider in am-munition's limiter stage.

Yes. We have the VE's under test for ProX, while I'm also fiddling with VariVerb here, too. We'll rework the whole UI and workflow, which is mainly better readability of LCD panel stuff and grouping of controls, but of course the new preset architecture. The algos will stay as-is, although we'll add modulation to most of the rooms/halls.

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply Sascha !

I imagine that we'll finally see these v2.0 available separately for sale before the end of the year Wink.

That said, hope that after that you'll create some more vintage effects, like maybe a valve mastering equalizer with a rich, dynamic frequency-dependent saturation with some customizable presence for the saturation itself, a bit like the 112dB Redline Equalizer, would be awesome.

Keep doing the best man !

I already own the VST version of A/M Suite, and it's still version 1.0.0 Laughing

I'm guessing there will be an upgrade available to A|M Suite+, once it's released in VST format. Could you confirm/deny this?

Thanks.

V1 works flawlessly (never crashed or froze) in FL Studio, so hopefully that won't change Thumbs Up!

hi sascha, I hope all is well with you...I'm really liking the new efx design, the bigger knobs work great. The tube plug and the vocal strip are both very welcome additions here...variverb is my go to. BTW if you ask me on the efx delay the feedback control is awesome. For those who do not know at 12:00 it's zero feedback, turn the knob toward the left and it's ping pong, turn to the right and it's a normal repeat...I love this feature...I'm loving Pro X Suite Smile
