I fancy having a crack at some drum synthesis, creating my own sounds - maybe combine them with some interesting field recording sounds and stuff.
Since this site's plug-in host thingummy has become so unuseable, I figured I'd ask here for some recommendations. At the moment I only have Drumatic. What do people recommend? Free and payware. Cheers. |

Almost no one ever mentiones them but I really like the Marvin VST stuff Check out U-He Bazille too! It's not a drum synth but I use it for almost all my drum sounds, it's perfect for that (and a lot more) Cheers Dennis ---- Back from the dead - Sorry if I didn't answer your mails/PM/whatever during the last few months. I hope everything will be back to normal soon. Life can take some shitty turns sometimes. |

The ones that are actually worth spending time tweaking are Extreme drum synth and various Xoxos stuff. |

Do we already have at least 4 topics with the similar name during the last 2 weeks? Check the last 6 pages of the instrument forum and you find the answer |

Ah, fair point Igro. Though I did think a couple of them were just recommending sample-based drum machines. My bad.
Have got some good ideas from those threads. Cheers. |

I think not many about FREE drum synths specifically although it has been discussed before (as has probably everything to be honest..). I will however mention now that Odo's plugs have been uploaded again to have a look at Rhythms or the individual Rhythms BD, HH, SN etc. (check out the Stomper preset in the BD version) Otherwise, Drumatic is likely the best free drum synth in my opinion. |

Odo made some cool drumsynths and synth/sample hybrids, as well as modules. Well worth checking-out.

for pure power, sacrificing versatility, drumatic, for program ability sacrificing power, the odo plugs. |
