pdxindy wrote: Do you get the crashing with the AU version? My bad...as I haven't even tried the AU version yet. I've only been using vst's in Live for sd work now. I haven't even tried Logic8 yet. I'll do a completely fresh install today and check the au though. Things started out great with the Diva beta for the first 2 hours or so. Then problems started happening, and oddly seemed to get worse with every time I used it thereafter. I'll also try keeping the multi-threading off to see if it only happens with it on. Maybe I should first try the mac 11 version instead of the newer 11b v. The popping sounds were simply very fast cpu spikes, that didn't really show immediately in the cpu meter. As during the last crash it was spiking at 330 something. I think I forgot to mention, I'm still using osx10.6.8 |

I'm getting crashing on playback with Cubase 64 6.05. This only happens with existing projects. I tried unloading + reloading the instance of Diva, which stops the playback crashing, but then leads to Diva not producing any sound (does receive MIDI)
A new project with an instance of Diva seems to work fine |

A new project with an instance of Diva seems to work fine Little tip back up the folders into a zip or elsewhere but the directory they are in and reinstall. \Program Files\u-he\Diva.data\Data\ Images (Folder) \Program Files\u-he\Diva.data\Data\ Scripts (Folder) Worked for me. Had exactly the same issue in Cubase 6.5 x64. Best of luck ---- Rintrah roars & shakes his fires in the burdend air 'Need talent & opportunity' |

Are you saying to copy over my old Images + scripts folders, overwriting the new ones 1.1 installed? |

No sorry I wasnt being clear. Back up both those folders. Delete. Reinstall. See if that works for you. My issue was a skin I had installed, so I believe and not compatible with the latest BETA. This is a guess so please backup and dont hold me too it. Thanks# ---- Rintrah roars & shakes his fires in the burdend air 'Need talent & opportunity' |

Well I did that and this new project I am working on didn't crash with two instances of Diva and performance was great, although I have not tried an old one. Not sure it was that but it seems to be behaving better than yesterday.
I do not remember using any skins though. |

I do not remember using any skins though. Glad to help if I did, Glad you sorted eiother way. Yep I am finding DIVA much more approachable to my system with the multicore. Not put it through its paces, but sure happy to load up compared to previous CPU/Asio usage. Good release...can only get better @ |

I can't get Diva to respond to any midi learn assignments at all under SONAR X1. ACE works fine. I had the same problem with 1.01 and just installed 1.1. By default it should just work. What version number do you have at the bottom right of the gui? |

Unfortunately not. This issue is still happening. Win7x64 / Cubase 6.5.1 x32. Kept Diva 1.1b instance open a while (12hrs +) in background. Then, later, started browsing through bass presets.
- Those deadlocks that some experienced on Windows are also gone (almost forgot Everything worked normally. Then, when switching to "HS Chord Bass - major", the engine cut out and the CPU spiked at 100% when attempting to play. I switched to the scope which showed the engine still thought it was generating output, but it mixed in corrupt output similar to what it did when the engine died in previous scenarios. Example Screen shot
Switching to other presets I noticed some would play and some would not. On presets that would not play they had the same corrupt scope output as when the engine died previously. On non-responsive presets I noticed 2 common factors often (but not always) seemed to be that they were either using the FX engine or Voice stacking. Indeed, turning the FX 1/2 slots off, or setting "stack" to 1 on some non-responsive presets would allow them to output audio again, though output would sometimes stop again after a few seconds, or sometimes it'd continue normally. Stack could be made to respond if set down to 1 then back to 2 (but would not work at a higher stack setting) and the Phaser on FX 1 slot would work normally too, but nothing else. Some presets, like "HS Enceladus" wouldn't respond no matter what you did. Relaunching the instance returned everything to normal. |

Nice update! The multi-threaded mode works very well on my pc (Windows Vista, old Intel Q6600 quadcore cpu). The cpu can handle Diva much better now, I can even play patches live in Divine mode |

Fantastic work team U-he. The multi-threading works perfectly in Ableton (OS X) with the bonus that I'm only seeing an approximate 1% extra cpu hit moving between 'Great' & 'Diva' settings. All of my long release patches that used to be so problematic when playing progressions that relied on a lot of polyphony now play back without any cpu spikes. The other improvement I've noticed is that those raw electronic 'old school' type timbres are so much easier to dial in especially when combing the Rev 2 HPF Sallen Key with the Jupiter filter in rough mode. Killer stuff! Diva really is in danger of putting some of my old analog kit out to pasture, especially if you ever manage to build your bespoke controller! Keep up the sterling work.
