Just had a bit of fun with the internal instruments, making a sound again and used some existing ones. Well, this thing only has 3 instruments, so, hehe... Nothing really special, but thought I'd share it. Might be appreciated, don't know...

Haven't checked it on speakers, yet, though...

Taron thanks!

I am curious how do you compose in Mulab your magnificient music.
Mulab shows in the composingscreen how you build up your composition

Do you use a score editor or work alone with a note roll editor?
I think in this case you use only a note roll editor, but sometimes also a keyboard and more live instruments.

Ah, thanks, Janamdo!
In Mulab I almost always use my keyboard to play in the tracks at the appropriate quantization settings and sometimes without any for certain leads or slow patches. I then go into the note roll to check and make adjustments, if necessary, which is- ehm- pretty much always, haha. Here and there I do certain drum sections complete in there, but prefer to play them live. It really is the quickest way.
I haven't checked lately, but thus far did not see a step-recording function, which is something I wrote for my own sequencer a while ago and which is fantastic for even quicker recordings of many different kinds of parts. Hmmmm...if I missed that option, I'd be thrilled to find out it exists in Mulab already?! If not, I'd certainly make that a request! Wink

Thanks again!

Right-click a sequence part -> Step Recorder.
Of course this is a shortcuttable function.
More info on the step recorder here: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/recording.html (bottom)

Oh, by the way, the latest version M4.1.11 supports track shortcuts from the sequence editor so you could setup S = Solo Track and so you can solo/unsolo a track from the sequence part editor Wink

Very nice!!

I think this one could use some more productional tweaks and evolve into a nice demo session. Is this session free to be played with Taron?

Jo, is it also somehow possible (yet) to solo/unsolo a slot in a rack? So that I can have a dry synth in slot 1, a delay and a reverb in slot 2 and 3 for instance, and then solo/unsolo slot 1 to quickly switch between the dry synth sound and the effected one?

No, there is no rack slot solo function.

But what you could do is put synth in slot 1, a mux with all effects in slot 2 and now you can easily turn on/off the process switch for that MUX by all means you have for that (alt-click, right-click, shortcut, green LED button in editor)

Ok thanks for the tip. That will work. Didn't think of that option myself. I usually put effects in their own slots instead of chaining them in a MUX.

The MUX is also a nice way to make effect chains and save them as a reusable preset Wink

Whereby I cannot resist to request an "On/Off" button Module and a "Toggle" button with 2 outs... Not activated sends the audio to out 1, activated to out 2... Cool

Sorry Jo...I couldn't stop myself... HiHi
