Hey Everyone,
Here's the sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz9SgJdLryc&feature=related It's not that complicated, but I'm being very picky here, what is the waveform he's using and from what synth? I can make the plucking part of it, but just can't get it all the way. It has a really retro sound, I have the demo of the Diva synth, and I can't seem to get it on that one either. Can anyone help? Thanks!! |

Hey there, are you talking about that high arpeggio-like sound? Since you have the demo of Diva, try this one: https://www.box.com/s/8fecbae9c213c751a201 I think it's fairly close, see if you like it and adjust to taste. Let me know if it's kind of what you were looking for, would be curious. Cheers! |

It's exactly the sound! Thank you, you rock! I looked over the preset and I see that is was Pulse with slight width modulation. And the triangle wave helps add just a little bit of mid-low range. I also noticed that you use the "FM (OSC 1)" knob in the filter section. Could you tell me if there any different between using that knob and just raising the position of the filter cutoff? Thanks again! |

Hey, glad you like it! Well, simply put, the Filter FM makes it a little "dirtier" than just raising the cutoff. I could hear some roughness in the original sound, so I added a little filter fm and a little cross-modulation in the osc section section. If you remove both those, the sound is cleaner and smoother than what can be heard in the original song. |

On a house record from 1986? lol. ---- "The Juno 60 was often incorrectly referred to as a synth. It is, in fact, a chorus unit with a synth attached." -PAK |
