Hi! I'm looking to replace my Alesis Micron.
What would be a good Vst to replace it?
Or should I keep it? I just think it'd be easier to do all my producing in the box(laptop)..

I use an Alesis Io2 to record btw.n
And I'd have about $275 if I sold the synth/ai.
So keep it at that price..

i used to own a Micron, and considering how it's not really the easiest synth to program (far from it, actually) i think it's definitely ok to go "in the box" instead.

now, the answer to your question pretty much depends on what you need from a synth. what is your favorite feature of the Micron?

if it's the complex mod matrix, definitely check out Helix:

That defeats the purpose of a hardware synth though, and itd be easier worjflow wise to work itb
Right now i have Massive and Discovery. You think thatll do? Or do you have any recs? I still have $250 guys..

I have the Miniak and I use it with the Miniak VST editor, it's no different to 'working in the box' except when finally recording the audio, plus it also has the benefits of not touching the PC's CPU and a good sound quality.

Just saying I'd keep the Micron and get the VST editor...

Think it will be a good partner with Massive+Discovery?
I just got both, so i dont really know.
I just dont want to have a hardware synth my software already replaced.
