ok, clueless newbie question here, even after a bit of RTFMing:
Is it possible to use an LFO to drive morphs? As in, instead of using a performance control to drive an XY pad, use an LFO to add motion to the sound? A pointer to the appropriate manual section would be appreciated! Worst-case I guess I could find a way in Reaper to generate VST automation data.. ---- My bloggity blog: http://the-serpents-fang.blogspot.com/ Red Room Authors Page: http://redroom.com/member/edward-averill Tracktion 4 and proud of it! Hi,
Yes it's possible. Check out the Morph page of the manual: http://www.camelaudio.com/alchemymanual/source/morph/ There is an example near the bottom of the page about using an MSEG to control the morphing, but any mod source can be used in place of the MSEG including an LFO (or 2 ...). There are not really many restrictions on what can be used to modulate parameters. If it has a knob, you can assign any of the mod sources in the mod rack. Peace, Andy. |

I'm off to do some lunchtime reading now! *edit* oh yeah baby! I have some interesting experimental soundscapes I want to try after messing with MSEG-driven morphs! ---- My bloggity blog: http://the-serpents-fang.blogspot.com/ Red Room Authors Page: http://redroom.com/member/edward-averill Tracktion 4 and proud of it! Yeah, MSEG-XY is a good choice. It is also possible to assign the XY pads to the morph controls if you want hands on control.
Peace, Andy. |
