...but then again that was almost 2yrs ago that he said that.

The reason he was hesitant was that Sylenth1's GUI uses the Carbon API which doesn't have 64bit support so it would take a lot of work to rewrite the GUI code for Apple's Cocoa API.

One could always hope that he's had time to change his mind during those 2yrs...

maybe 200-400 pieces ??

Hmm, that group buy back in '08 needed 300 signups. So as that went through at least 300 had to buy I guess Wink

I think I meant cutting edge in the sense that this synth still gets a lot of attention. You don't really see many other synths from the same time getting that.

that hit over 600, i was in it, and there was another one a year before that.

Lennard is a very comfortable man from sylenth sales i guarantee it.

I would guess in the vicinity overall of a quarter of a million EU.

if i ever lose the 32bit bridge in logic (which is buggy to begin with), am screwed.
i think if we got the offer for a 64bit AU, macusers would pay for such an upgrade (i would)...
If it does get discontinued (which would not be especially surprising as Apple can be prone to dropping legacy support a bit quickly for some) then I'd be pretty surprised if somebody didn't make a third party bridge, there must be a lot of pieces of software where the dev(s) moved on to other things (a Carbon to Cocoa port is really unappealing btw) that would make this desirable.

i just hope jbridge now that he has got a mac version for vst get's his smarts to make a 32 to 64 AU wrapper Wink

i really hope for sylenth2 aswell. it needs a major expansion in terms of modulation. i would sometimes more modulate but its just to less. then ofc more waveform the one we got are just a way to less.
then maybe improve the reverb which sounds kind of poor when you start of with the synth - but later you can get around with it.
maybe a few more filter mods?! from the effect package you get its still awsome.

i know i see lots of producers using a cracked version of sylenth1. and they are signed and get money from their releases.
even mike koglin is using a cracked version (TEAM ARCADE) or sylenth1 and hes signed to anjunabeats.
if the most ppl would pay at least half of the price to lennar - but most of them just say im poor i cant ...
but we all saved money until we could buy it - true?!
i also bought it a bit later - but i paid for my sylenth1 copy in the end and it feels so much better.
but today most of the producers giving a #$%& about that. i got few pm on youtube asking if i could give my license of Massive/Sylenth1 - i mean hello i paid for it.
ppl never think that other ppl still buy the stuff they use. Mad

i think he sold 2500+ copies thats fixed or even more i think.

i hope we will hear a sign from Lennar about that - i really like that synth a lot - and i wouldnt lose it to my to go stuff.

2500+ copies for €139 doesn't sound bad at all. Don't know how long he worked on it, but that kind of money is what I need several years to earn. I don't own it and have only tested the demo a few times (Thank you for trying this product.. or something like that Smile) and have to agree on it's fantastic sound and even more so the ease of getting good sounds out of it. Don't think I'll buy it though. Not in it's current state. Seems like a bad idea to buy something which may be unusable in the near feature (non 64 bit) and there's no sign of life from the developer(s).
It would be cool if he ported it to Reason RE. He'd have to give them 30%, but I believe they have a huge market and a good copy protection. It has to be too good to just be left behind when you read the praise from all the major music magazines, sites etc.

Edit: CM used 32 bit Sylenth - Quote from Computer Music Dubstep Special - Sylenth Master Class - "Sylenth works just fine on Win 7/64 and as 32 bit AU on Logic 9 and OS X Lion."
