"Some Other Song" Youtube
This one was made after "some song", clearly. This one has an actual bass guitar! Yay. If you weren't a fan of the, admittedly, lazy drum programming, then you will have the same complaint for this one ;p I experimented with some really odd (to me) time signatures later on. 15/16, I think. Honestly I may be wrong. Made with the same stuff: FL Studio 10 Schecter Damien 6 string tuned to drop A# LePou distortion plugins Guitar Rig 4 cabinet emulation Superior Drummer 2.0 with the Metal Foundry expansion EWQL stuff for the strings/choir for maximum overkill. I was a little happier with the clean guitar tones. But I sometimes enjoy the older one more. It's a mood thing, I guess. |

Other than the drummer having three arms at one point, not bad! I prefer the first one, but I've listened to this one a few times now. I think it could use some lyrics, though... ---- "Be excellent to each other." Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

I'm usually pretty good about making sure the drum parts are programmed to the point where there aren't three arms in use ;p I can't say for certain that I was on the ball 100%. But if you're referring to the ride/crash combo going on on the "chorus" bits, I can say for certain that they are two arm friendly :]
In fact, the sort of odd pattern taking place is a result of ensuring just that. I do think the first track was written better, personally. |

Okay. To me it just sounded like from 2:00 to 2:54 the hi-hat, snare, and cymbals are all playing at the same time. I've never really been very good at distinguishing drum parts, though, so I'm probably wrong. All in all it's pretty good, but I do think this one would benefit from lyrics. ---- "Be excellent to each other."
