Hi

I have a couple of big wav files. Each file looks like this:
sound1 - silence - sound2 - silence - sound3 - silence, and so on.
Now I would like to save every single sound into sound1.wav, sound2.wav (...).
You know any software who can do this?

I tried a couple but they either crashed upcon processing or couldn't handle 32 bit files.

I work with HQ files and my wav files are in 48khz, 32bit.

waveknife not appropriate, crashes and can only handle 16 bit files

i do it in Wavosaur. not sure about the exact commands, but you first auto-detect regions and then export all regions.

Personally and only because its an extension of my left hand Pro Tools:
Select region > Strip Silence > Export Regions as audio > Bang all done (then sod around naming them all for ages if I'm feeling in an organized mood). Pretty much all DAW with good audio editing capabilities have the same feature and audio editing applications should damned well have it. Like already mentioned by others

I know how to export sample regions, but what about beginning and end sample fixing ? I still have to manually fade it/out all my smples or there is a nice tool that could fix them for me ?

in Wavosaur, you can set the amplitude threshold and amount of time after the zero crossings to be marked as the zone end. if you tweak this properly, you get pretty smooth endings, no need to fade out.
