I have no doubts. Love

And that is honestly pretty exciting.
Really, Diva is the beginning. Cool

I started this thread, and apparently it's such a good product it's impossible to buy!

Weird. My neighbours can't get enough - the louder I play, the more they bang on the walls in appreciation. Even at three in the morning when you'd think they'd be asleep. Smile

well played

I think the majority of EDM producers will get wet ears when they hear Arksun's demos:

I know Arksun is a great sound designer, but that's nothing new, and nothing that cannot be achieved in other synths.

whilst I do find most of your posts on this thread very unbiased and nothing wrong with your dissenting opinion, it is as valid as everyone else's.....but I am listening to the demos from the arksun's bank.....and maybe it is the because I already know the answer..... but I actually find this very unusual to the other edm stuff I have heard....not as bright and over processed etc.... I am finding this warm....fulll...phat.... I am so getting this bank.

That's cool man, each to their own, like i've said countless times, those who love DIVA, I couldn't be happier for. I got no issues with the synth, it is quality.

The only thing I don't like is the fact that anyone who goes against the grain seems to come under a barrage of BS to prove their opinions wrong.

People are allowed to speak their minds, and say they don't like it, they don't need people trying to prove their opinions wrong.

amen!

Diva is a near perfect achievement of something that I no longer find exciting.

This is exactly how I feel about Diva. Personally I'm much more excited about synths that differ from the concept of subtractive synthesis, even though they don't sound as "good" as Diva.

That's a valid point. I'm pretty sure we'll find other applications for the methods we used in Diva, in completely different types of synthesis. And of course a great filter is never sniffed at, not even in a whatever complex additive synth.

Looking forward to it Thumbs Up!

Maybe it's just cuz I'm pretty young, but I've never once craved the "true analog" sound. All of my favorite synths on albums are virtual analog. For that reason I can't really get excited about DIVA.

Yea okay...Diva is a virtual analog synth...so your point in unclear.
I'm thinking you meant synths that aren't emulating analog synths, like an M1 etc...
I like both kinds. The digital sounding synths and analog modeled ones are all good. I like digital modeled pads, better than analog ones, and analog modeled basses better than digital ones, but it's all good, for the variety to be had using both.

The big deal with DIVA is everyone says it sounds so analog. Well I've been listening to analog representations my entire life so to me that means nothing. I can probably count on one hand the number of albums I own with actual analog synths.

Very fair statement. There is ever diminishing returns on the increased cpu load of our plug-ins. But with DIVA, it's getting that extra 5 or 10% right that has been elusive I suppose. And I personally don't think that this level cpu demand is necessary for a good three quarters of what I'd use a VA for, so my other favorites aren't going anywhere soon. But DIVA adds to the collection nicely. And one day, the cpu won't even be an issue.

I came across this which gives a good idea of Diva in action, covering a Kraftwerk song:
