bg wrote: I have a MIDI learn question: Is it possible to tune two oscillators to zero beat unison and then control the fine tuning of one osc so the midpoint of the MIDI control (i.e. 64) is unison? That way turning the fine tune knob left of center would make the osc go flat and right of center, sharp. And 12:00 would be zero beat unison.
Instead of MIDI Learn I would use Breath Control (CC2) directly as a modulation source on VCO2. Everything else is kind of a long stretch at the moment. |

Ok, thanks, that's good to know. I assume then that the chances of this happening are very slim if it hasn't happened with the initial version already (I've been using Diva quite a bit after I got it at launch) |

Maybe also compared to ACE on the same cpu? Try v1.1 yourself and you will be amazed at just how much optimisation has been made... It's like night and day....Or was that analog and digital ? I have an i7 960 and she's purring along.... |

Something I just came up with: Diva Bank Demo Snippet (100% Diva again).
I love the drums Diva is capable of Cheers Dennis ---- Back from the dead - Sorry if I didn't answer your mails/PM/whatever during the last few months. I hope everything will be back to normal soon. Life can take some shitty turns sometimes. |

I love the drums Diva is capable of Yeah, sounds cool, looking forward! At 1st I though that Diva won't be that useful for percussion n all but I was wrong... instead of a phase reset button ... we can use a self osc filter... and ow boy, every filter module can generate different tones .. + the super tight filter+envelope action ...not to mention some filter FM topping |

I'm getting a lot of crashes from the latest Diva1.1 when trying to quit Live 8.2.7 after having 1 instance of Diva...just doing sounds.
I first close the project with Diva in it. Then try to quit. It won't even open the menu to choose quit. It just freezes for a second then crashes out with a report. It happens a lot, but not always. |

Maybe also compared to ACE on the same cpu? With most (mono and poly) sounds using the divine mode, cpu usage stays in the 3% - 5% range (numbers from Reaper). I have Intel i5 K2500 with an Asus board. I use the x64 version in Reaper with Windows 7 x64. Some more complicated sound designs can consume more cpu, but I haven't had any problems working with Diva. I have the demo version installed into my laptop and it seems to be usable with my laptops Intel Core 2 Duo P7550 2,26GHz too. I have had more problems with CPU usage when experimenting with the NI Reaktor. Diva should run smoothly on i7 machines. I Don't have ACE so can't compare those two. Btw. I have a question too to anybody reading this. Can I use my licence to register the product to use it with my laptop too or is the licence only for a single computer? Anyone? |

single user.....only one instance can be running at a time I believe... so you are good to go on your laptop.

It's only happened twice so far though. This is a good point. I had Diva x64 crash one time after the installation with Reaper 4.22 x 64 / Windows 7 x64. Diva needs rights to write to the folders where it's data files are located. After changing permissions I haven't had any problems. |

Only crashed twice, then not at all since changing the permissions so all of them are read&write. Now it has problems crashing when quitting out of Live, which it didn't before. |
