I got this message when trying to load ScytheVST in FL Studio:
FL.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application failed to start because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I extracted it again, but no luck. ExtractNow does put the .dll in its own folder within my Plugins Folder, but it showed up when I rescanned the plugins list in FL. Any ideas? ---- Musical Style: Psychotic Northwoods Basement Trash |

Unfortunately Scythe does not work on my AMD Athlon 64+/3000. Does Scythe use SSE3 instructions? I'm running Windows XP Home SP2. |

Ran it quickly in FL10.0.9. Nice little synth! I'll test a bit more after work. Cheers for going through the effort to release it on Win as well mate. Thanks! |

I think it would be very nice if the 'Bend' function had a rate parameter and the ability to loop the recorded knob movements. I'd also like to be able to use the LFOs at much higher rates (~1000hz) The artifacts that happen when you modulate the pitch, PW or mix with an LFO running at 20-50Hz are badass! I like the sound of the PWM on the digital wave shapes. I also like the filter drive (though it seem like the filter cutoff is scaled in an odd way). I also like that the way the delay responds to adjusting the time parameter with the feedback cranked. Thanks for this. Sorry for the delayed reply. I was subscribed to updates for this thread but never got any emails. The bend anim is smooth on my Macbook Air running 10.7.4. Unfortunately I don't have a 10.6 machine to try it out on. I've had a lot of requests for looping the bends. I'm thinking about ways to implement that without making the UI too complicated. Thanks for the feedback! |

Hmm. I'm not using any SSE functions. Unfortunately I don't have an XP or Athlon machine to test with so it's hard for me to guess what might be going wrong there. |

And Pitch-/Modwheel does not do anything. Can we get the effect section as a seperate plugin please? I suspect that's probably the filter responding poorly to extremely fast modulation. I'll see if it's something I can improve. I'm still fairly new to the black art of digital filter design. I'll definitely consider breaking out the effects section into a separate plug. Shouldn't be difficult. I guess the lack of support for mod wheel and other controllers is an artifact of this synths origins on the iPad. I'll think about ways of adding controller support. Thanks for the feedback! |

Interesting. Since the Win32 version wen't up downloads for that version have exceeded the Mac version by more than 50%. I would have thought that with all the great free VSTs available for Windows already that there would be more interest on the Mac side. |

I guess I have to do it now, even if only to pay you back for all the great patches you've put out over the years for the other synths I use. Fingers crossed that I get one BigTone patch for Scythe to put in the first factory bank... kuniklo, you really did it!? will try it asap and let youknow... |

Yes. Windows version is ready to go and working in most hosts as far as I can tell.
I'd be very pleased if you tried it! If anybody else wants to send me some patches I'll try to collect them for a factory sound bank. |

Thank you very much, kuniklo. We are just exploring this little gem. So far: Very interesting concept.
Well done! ---- Have fun if possible! |

I figure a lot of Mac users will be using Logic, which is AU only.... Still, great to hear it gets a lot of attention! I'll give it a spin the moment you decide to make an AU version available. |

Cheers for this, but at least in the Windows version, the knobs jump to a completely new setting when I try to grab them for adjustment. |

Hmm. Can you give me a little more detail on your environment? What host and version of Windows are you using? |
