Thanks Sendy! I double checked with the synth diy community and can confirm that my custom high pass ms20 circuit design is completely original, so I'm quite proud of that and I'm glad you liked it in particular It's seriously the nicest HPF filtersweep I've heard, probably ever, software and hardware! I'm SO looking forwards to this filter And yes, HPF is not only an essential tool for cutting and/or etheral sounds, it also seems to be a real test of filter making mettle, because the resonance is just hanging over silence, and is a lot more "bare" and exposed compared to a lowpass, where the resonance kinda nestles on top of the filtered harmonics. Most digital HPFs seem kinda frizzy at high resonance settings. |

Shy wrote: Andy, since it's highly related, check the Threeler filter. I think it's a really great, pretty ideal design. It's what I've always wanted. I suggest adding something like that to your filter plugin eventually. (I'll have a Threeler here in a couple of weeks, I could send some samples)
Thanks for the heads up! I've not seen that structure before. It is very similar to a sallen key in that the last low pass is fed into the bottom of the cap of the first low pass, I would have to plot the shapes to see what this does in terms of the filter shape. I'll probably steer clear of such a structure since I want 2 pole and 4 pole filters for the drop, and this is a three pole, but thanks for letting me know about it. |

Hello Andy, why not give everyone the chance to buy the beta at the official price ....... then calmly'll upgrade to official put (in this case for free for those who purchased the beta) |

+1 Do like Urs/u-he. Make an early-adopters price for the beta! You'll get a lot of new customers and you will have a much larger crowd of bughunters than you'd normally have for a beta. And since people bought into it early they agree to the fact that it's beta, and you'll get minimal complaints about bugs. It's a 100% win-win |

Well, Andy's forte is analog modelling. I doubt you'd find analog prototype for that. |

Thanks! I've processed them for you and emailed you back a link Andy the sweeps you did with the Drop were amazing! With all the other filters(volcano, brainworx cleansweep,EQuality) as soon as the sweep hit that 1000K range it just crapped out and gave it that as you called it (waveshaping distortion) which just sounds terrible and with the Drop you even exaggerated the resonance and it still didnt crap out with noo oversampling! I was planning on getting some moog filters but not anymore! I cant wait to get my mouse on this thing, I'm going to open all the projects on the album Im working on and replace every filter with the Drop! I'm going to give you half a thank you now and will give you the other half as soon as the Drop comes out! cheers Wilson |

I'll give a full thankyou on the release date, then a half-thank the next day, a 1/3-thank the day after that, etc... on to infinity... or at least up until my cutoff frequency |

Yep, as soon as there is something with near final graphics, and filter models that won't change in tone very much I'll have an open beta. I'm all up for even changing the interface a bit based on feedback, but I need to be happy that the sound won't change much at all otherwise people will have broken projects! |

Well, can't we buy broken projects with the option to later upgrade to a full, ready-to-use projects ? |
