I'm wondering what the Poly-Ana resale policy is, ie. will I be able to find this used? The new price is still low and there is the player version available, I could get that and upgrade to full if i feel so inclined. Any thoughts on this?I'm not ready to buy it yet, still need to download the demo even, just have heard only good things about this synth.

I wonder what a controller like this costs in parts alone, it would be really cool if there were some sort of build-your-own kit. I love soft synths and all the stability and flexibility they give us, but generic controllers will never be the same as a dedicated beastie like this Smile

Yeah but maybe something approaching that could be built little by little over time and not break the bank Smile It makes me want to buy up a few Korg MicroControllers and make some sort of hacked case mod Smile Oh well a man can dream.

Well I just installed Poly-Ana herself, she has a pretty voice but her GUI makes my head spin a little, I can see why this guy built a custom controller Smile

Be sure to try changing the big dials to drop down lists via the menu at the top. That helps a lot.

If you're a novation automap user, Poly-Ana is one of the best suited for that. I've got a template that works out quite well. You can every single control and menu item over about 6 pages.

Oh thanks, that definitely helps! BTW it wasn't at the top though, I had to click the Poly-Ana logo.

So is this synth NFR or is there a chance of finding it used? I just bought another synth and I'm not sure I can budget this one for a few months. If I can find it used I'll start looking soon.

The creator has the parts costs and time spent on his site here:

http://synth-project.de/controller_overview.html

Very very cool projects. Love I'm thinking about doing a similar project using a small computer and building everything right inside the box. Create a bunch of disk images with a script to load your favorite standalone VSTis (giving flexibility on which VST you want to use). Maybe a MAX or PD patch to do some fancy MIDI stuff.

I don't think I've ever seen it used. I doubt anyone would want to part with it once they have it. Wink

Poly-Ana and Diva are King and Queen of the Analog VSTs!... or maybe Queen and Queen? Smile

I'm pretty sure all AQ's stuff is NFR ... I got in on Poly-Ana when she was first released, and wouldn't sell her anyway. Smile
