I was looking for a ping pong delay earlier but I can't find the right one.
I want something that's like or exactly like Amplitube's rack delay, where the echo plays through left then right and back and forth until the feedback fades off. I want a plugin of it cause I don't want to bring up an instance of amplitube just for that effect. |

I love NastyDLA, Plan to add UberMod to my plug-ins folder soonish and really like SoundToys *Echoboy* a heck of alot. XILS Le Masque with the switchable filter path is really good value for money and sound is excellent. I also am quite into the the Line 6 POD Farm delays as you can load up the section or sections/type or types of processing and effects up ('Elements' they call them) You get an EH Deluxe Memory Man and plain Digital Delay with POD Farm 2.5 free, I do though often use the built-in delays in both Pro Tools and Live happily. Oh and must mention FabFilter's Timeless 2 is really rather nice also, As is PSP Audioware's 608 Multidelay. It might be worth keeping an eye on what *Eventide* have in the pipeline on the delay front aslong as you are fine with using an *iLok* Dean Wow, Dennis I am going to have to demo MFM2, It sounds like a delay wet dream for total madness and anything inbetween. Will be doing that when my new audio machine is finished. I didn't even know what it was and whom is behind it...My bad On the 'list' ---- Shit For Blood, Piss For Brains |

You can also try the mgTempoDelay.
This plugin has a lot of different ways to treat a stereo ping pong. |

basically I want it to use the delay time, make an echo to the left, wait the delay time again, make an echo to the right, and repeat to the strength of the feedback.
I'm looking more for free ones. NDA was pretty decent, but I don't like how the left and right have their separate delay times. |

This one can very easily put into ping pong mode: www.kvraudio.com/product/classic_delay_by_kjaerhus_audio
Just set input pan to hard left or right and enable ping pong mode. Download: www.acoustica.com/plugins/vst-directx.htm Last edited by paterpeter on Wed May 09, 2012 10:26 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Just set input pan to hard left or right and enable ping pong mode. Kjaerhus Classic are sweet and still keep up in terms of quality and CPU use (they work good bridged also). When I need to set up a delay like you describe, clayman, I find NF DL3D-3 very easy to get a good result, but it's not free... should not be difficult to find it at a good price though. I bought the PSP608 when it was on sale, that thing is the ultimate multi-tap. |

Probably does much more than you require but with Le Masque you can do it, plus you can control accurately the stereo, the pan position, all delay parameters, and get the benefit of Xils-Lab surgical filters.
And then you have the unique masks functions. Well the best way is to demo it maybe. LtZ ---- www.lelotusbleu.fr Soundbanks for Vsti 5000+ Instruments for 23 Vstis, 8 Sound Designers, Hours of audio Demos. The Sound you miss might be there [Xils-Lab Team] |

Just set input pan to hard left or right and enable ping pong mode. Download: www.acoustica.com/plugins/vst-directx.htm I think this one is perfect. It even has DAW tempo sync. Thanks very much! |

And then you have the unique masks functions. Well the best way is to demo it maybe. LtZ I am enjoying playing with Le Masque, but I can't get a ping pong set up. How do you do a simple left to right and back and forth with the echoes coming on tempo? What I'd like to do is have a ping pong set up and then just vary the tempo with the mod wheel from the standard setting to super-high tempo... I'd also like to be able to have the mod wheel (or pedal) control echo volume, panning, etc. but I don't see how to set which parameters it controls. ---- Crime in multi-storey car parks.
