Cakewalk is now offering Music Creator 6 for half price: €19

A very underrated product that can well function as a beginner DAW, or a VST host.

Included is Roland TTS1 GM synth and Cakewalks Sound Center, these can easily be loaded into other DAWs (no need for rewire even though that is also a possibility)

On top of that you get over 3GB of samples and loops to play around with.

I bought it during the Marathon sale, and thought I was getting a good deal with 25% off, now the deal is even sweeter with 50% rebate:

Audiomidi also still has Antares Mutator EVO for $29, which was originally supposed to be a three-day deal.

Nice spot, I have now invested!

I really dig Cakewalks way of doing business: Lots of bundle deals, free exclusive expansion packs, free cloud storage (download your purchased files anytime), "gentleman's agreement" on registration: you can install a product on a secondary computer as long as you dont use both at the same time. But they don't impose any iLok on their customers, they actually trust that we are decent enough not to rip them off Smile

Nice one. I already own two licenses of X1 (Producer and Studio), and may still grab this. A good friend's teenage son has just started a "garage" band, and this would be a cool way to get into DAW recording. Smile

May Sale is on at Rayzoon (the makers of Jamstix). Some great prices on the the various levels of Jamstix and many of the expansion packs.

Jamstix is my go to for "real drums." It works great driving other vsti's, but the onboard sounds (and expansions) sound very, very good as well.

On the forum, you'll find that a 64-bit version (vst) is now in a private beta stage, so it should be along soon. They're still working on the OSX version.
