As far as I know, there aren't any third-party presets for CamelPhat or CamelSpace.
If you haven't already, try using dBlue Glitch and SupaTrigga. Both of which are free. |

Hmm, CamelPhat is really for saturated/distorted compression with some twists so you could use it here and there for interesting effects, whether you do dubstep, glitch or something else. |

Not sure how you would make a dubstep preset in camelphat. It's not a synth. Most dubstep sounds originate at the synth level - modulation and fm routing. Look up Skrillex Growl Bass FM8 on youtube, they show you how to do it... Skrillex uses FM8 for his best growl bass sounds, said so himself... ---- Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

thanks for the replies, they're very much appreciated since i don't
know f.a. about what i'm doing. i downloaded dblue glitch recently, but it either wouln't install or it froze sonar(i keep seeing fl studio being mentioned...).anyway,i'll give it another shot. also, the comment about modulation and fm routing made sense(what little i know about it.) that being said,i'm off to do some web-searching and downloads..... many thanks matt ritti |

hello again,
as per djmino02's suggestion,i tried reinstalling dblue glitch. i think it's working since the volume control and filter buttons work. beyond that i can't get it to do anything. i've watched some of the tutorials(and will do so again),but i thought i'd check back here as well. i installed supa trigga and that seems to work fine. thanks m.r. |

You could manipulate a standard heavy bassline with camelphat's distortion, drive it hard, then use the LFO's on the filters to make the wobbles. |

Did you download Glitch from illformed.org? It should work. I haven't had any problems with it. Although it is notorious for crashing DAW's from time to time.
If you're wanting a DAW that's good for experimental music, like Glitch and Dubstep, I cannot speak highly enough of Ableton Live 8. It comes with a lot of good instrument and effect device presets. Operator is good for making crazy sounds, and it's pretty easy to use. Probably, not as good as FM8, but I hear FM8 has a pretty steep learning curve. |

basic dubstep wobbles is a noisy oscillator(the thing that makes the sound) into a filter that is controlled by a LFO
use the "depth" control ,then select the LFO to do its thing in musical times (1/4 1/8 1/16 etc). assigning the modwheel(on your keyboard the rolling thing) is the quickest way to control the switch between fast and slow soun (waaaa waaah wah wha wha wah) lol ---- If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So. hello all and thanks again,
re djmino02:i did in fact download dblue glitch from illformed. i started getting results when i enabled transport(by hitting the disable transport button) do i need to disable transport if i'm not working on that particular track (since it's sequencer keeps running otherwise)? re realmarco: thank-you for the laymans advice on osc, mod, etc. i've heard of synth-edit but i don't really know what it is... as far as making a mac version of the plug-ins,i'm at loose ends as well. (sorry if that sounds dense) as usual, many thanks for the tips m.r. |

btw synth edit is software similar to reaktor, in the sense u create plugins with a graphical programming setup instead of writing the plugins in c++(its a programme language
synth edit has a "save as plugin" option so if u did a filter similar to camel phat with synth edit u can share your saved as plugin plugins with others on PC ---- If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So. hello realmarco,
i'm very grateful for your reply.i was rather stumped by your signature, but it's all good now. i get sucked in by anything that sounds interesting,so i spread my self pretty thin.it seems like i'll be heading for komplete 8 eventually as the names absynth, massive and fm8 keep popping up. i have alchemy and a bunch of freeware, but nevertheless komplete seems to be worth getting(i hope that's not off-topic) thanks for the help, everybody m.r. |
