My "best" soft-synth is Massive Cool

I'm surprised at how little Massive has come up, given how many genres of music it's inextricably tied to these days.

Best synths I own are Reaktor for sampling and Ultra Analog for VA.

Best synth I don't own but plan on getting is Diva, which I tried hard to be skeptical about but goddamn what a sound. Some people complain that its character would be lost in a mix and therefore the CPU hit is overkill - however I say that it enables you to do very minimal mixes which are still extremely rich, putting a few sounds right up front and being confident of great sound.

Pro-12 is getting the most use from me these days. As for native synths, it's DIVA.

The Pro-12 certainly has a beautifully clear artifact free top end.

my fav hardware is the Prophet 08 which adds a wonderful width to everything its played with, and Diva in software.

I'm still very fond of Massive, even though I don't have much to do with the club genres to which it is inextricably tied and won't likely ever use a wobble bass in this lifetime, LOL. Wink

sylenth1. dune. zebra.

i just downsized recently, trying to streamline my 'process'. so to change things up, let go of massive and alchemy (both exceptional).

change is good...

Cool
Diva's certainly easier to carry around (in a laptop) and probably a lot more versatile - though the Sh-3 is a very fun thing (particularly with its/Moog's great filter) to also include on tracks Smile

Comercial

Tone 2 Firebird. I'm in love with it, easy to tweak, great results, interesting electronic sounds. When i need an electronic and aggressive sound, i put Firebird, always.
If i would have money i would buy Gladiator or Electrax, because i think they are the big brothers of Firebird, but i don't have it. Confused

Freeware

Zebralette. I love those FX filters which you can change the nature of the sound very easy.

Have a good day Smile

Hardware:

Waldorf Blofeld desktop (+ SL expanion) and Motif ES7 as both controller and synth. Actually the Blofeld desktop usually sits on the free space on the left side of my Motif ES7.
If i would have the keyboard version a Blofeld keyboard as a single synth would be OK.

Software:

Difficult as i got lots of choices but i would either take Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V or Synthmaster 2.5 if i had to choose a single softsynth.

As a freeware synth Tactile Sounds Subdtance is my go-to synth.

Recently Saurus and ElectraX seem to become more and more important for me.
