Thanks.. I had quite a steep learning curve, but there is still so freaking much to learn yet.. A lot of general ampsim critique seems aimed at the cabs, like they are the weakest link, hardest to perfect, having the moving parts to calculate etc So you probably are on the right track having a live setup split up, so the guy with the golden ears, can make the calls. Maybe the next update will have to include PA modelling Hope you line up some great gigs |

May 16 2012 UPDATE:
This is an update that answers the "wobbly" Filtercabinets error that had been reported. It also deals with Volume differences between the suite and Head Case builder. If you already have head case lite 1.53 installed, then all you need to do is copy the two DLL files cotained in the UPDATE A Rar to the head case folder. The path will be something like. [Your vst folder]/AcmeBarGig/HeadCase Your folder is the name of the folder where you installed head case. If you have not installed Head Case LITE 1.53 Yet, then you must run this installer first, and then copy the contents of update A following the above steps. Head Case LITE 1.53 installer. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7630363/Releases/HeadCase/LITE/HeadC ase%20LITE%201.53.zip Head Case LITE 1.53 UPDATE A http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7630363/Releases/HeadCase/LITE/HeadC ase%20LITE%20153%20UpdateA.rar If you have any troub;le, just leave a mesage ------------------------------------------------------ |

You know Fritze, I got a little story about a classic bassman amp. I remember when I was a kid just starting to learn to play. My friend's Grandfather had an old bassman, not sure what year. He also had an old mustang and strat. He used to come out and play all this chicken pickin stuff. Randy and I would laugh our asses off at it. This was back about the time when Back in Black came out (and of course we were going to be rock stars one day). Nowadays I find myself struggling with licks that the ol fella would play like butter. Like this tune here. What I'm doing in two tracks he could probably do in one, and it would be 10 times more complex.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7630363/ForTT/PouletAMastered.mp3 I also find myself wishing I had played on that amp a little more. Stuff like that you just don't see very often anymore. An old guy(seemed ancient to us back then) playing on his generation equipment playing his generation music. He never played in a band, but he was an amazing player. Too bad he can't see me play his style so he could laugh his ass off at me.. Ahh nevermind the strats or anything else, I just want a guitar that intonates.. haha |

Nice story, Ken. For such sounds the guitar makes or breaks it. I would love to have a really good Strat, too. |

Yeah HB pickups through a bass man is good, but I really like the tone of SC pickups through one. I know there must be someone who uses a LesPaul or something with a Bassman, but I can't think of who that is?
I owned a 74 strat at one time, but it kinda sucked because it was really thin sounding. I must have got one that was made on a Monday |

I don't use a "real" guitar to play through it, I use Shreddage X in Kontakt, but it's so much fun to put it through Head Case and see what you can come up with. I have to admit to being a skull job fanatic though |

I have to admit to being a skull job fanatic though I love that amp myself. Danny Danzi wanted something that would be similar to his 2101, so working together we came up with skull job. |

Skull Job and AMIT's Cupernicus II VM are my 2 main go-to heads for Hard Core and Blues.
CUPERNICUS II VM is now one of my main go-to heads. It's amazing sounding and I can dial in my old 1970 Marshall 100-watt SL perfectly! It's a work of art AMIT. There's been a slew of GREAT heads and I have a whole lot to chose from but Skull Job and CUPERNICUS II VM are my main babies now. Thanks Amit, RockAxe, Thanks too to mastermindjacquard! and thanks Ken! And thanks to all the great Head builders that have made some fantastic sounding heads and made them available to us Headcase 1.53 beta testers for FREE! I have about 15 or 20 heads right now and no bad ones in the group. They sound more convincing to me than any commercial sim I own! NO BRAG - JUST FACT. ---- Now the proud owner of an avid 11 Rack, Running Pro Tools 10.3.3 - for me it's heaven! |
