A quick shout out here to my extended family for helping me get through this b.s. time in my life. You can't begin to imagine how important you were/are for my sanity.

I have to admit that was faster than I thought it would be. I'm sure it wasn't for you, but I always thought it took years or months of therapies to rid yourself of cancer.
I really hope this has you sorted and you're free of that monster. ---- Activism must be stopped! Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

Me too now...2nd try...I thought shopping on-line was supposed to be more convenient but it feels like a waiting room at a doctor's office... It looks like I'll be waiting until May 23 for my order. They don't announce it anywhere on their site, but I found on a tech site that Adobe has announced the release of Creative Cloud CS6 on that day. Nice of them to tell those of us who've ordered it! ...and my order was completed last night. At least I can download and use any of the Adobe applications now. I'll have to wait and see if it's worth it for me to continue this next year at $49.99/mo, but for $29.99/mo, it's a no-brainer for me. ---- Activism must be stopped! I really hope this has you sorted and you're free of that monster. From what I understand, it depends on a lot of factors. If it's caught early and the cancer is in a place that can be operated on easily, it might only take a month or so of treatment to get rid of. My aunt for example was diagnosed with colon cancer in March, she went through one round of chemo/radiation, had the tumor removed and she's "done". She still has to go through routine checkups, but treatment for cancer is getting better all the time. However, once it starts spreading it's much harder to deal with. My treatment lasted about three years. It was different though, the kind of lymphoma I had was not as aggressive as some, so my oncologist asked if I'd be willing to undergo an experimental targeted drug treatment. I didn't have any chemo or radiation treatments at all. It was a much longer process, and it was very difficult but it wasn't nearly as difficult as I imagine going through months of chemo would have been. I never felt like the drugs were poisoning my body... they totally killed my appetite but that is why we have medicinal marijuana. |

Yup. Illustrator still sucks (and it's actually kinda worse now). Photoshop still doesn't do .ico or .cur without a plugin. I don't really see having a use for the newer tools that it DOES have, for the most part. I have Vegas, so I don't really need Premiere. I don't do Flash. That really only leaves Dreamweaver (which I already have) and After Effects, which I don't know, and am not sure exactly how much use I'll have for it.
I may just "return" the Creative Cloud. I was really counting on Illustrator being improved and Photoshop having a bunch of useful (to me) new tools. I have a few days to think about it. ---- Activism must be stopped! Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

well, poor Denise...she's been working for D'Angelos and Papa Ginos (same company) for years doing the same thing...working the grill. Over the years she has had her share of injuries, once a pot of boiling water dumped on her foot for instance which burned her badly.
Her arm has been hurting a lot in the last few months (her wrist and elbow) and finally she went to the doctor last month. He gave her a shot, a brace, some pills and said come back May 4th. She went back and no improvement so he sent her for PT, today at PT the guy said it was as bad has he has seen and though she'll keep going to PT it's not going to help as long as she is still doing the same thing. (I guess something about it being both the wrist and elbow is of extreme concern to him but he said as long as she is still doing the same thing it was all a waste of time) He talked to me alone for a few minutes and told me to get her to file a workman's comp claim now so they cannot fire her first but as it is she'll need surgery sooner or later if she keeps this up (she might need it anyhow) and it may mean she wont get back to 100%. I know this is nothing compared to what some of yous is going through but she is not happy about any of this. I'm not sure what the next step is but I guess I'll do some research online and see what to do because Monday when she goes to work they are going to have to take her off the grill and the last person that happened to lost their job. Should we contact a lawyer too now or wait? ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

I don't see any harm in contacting a lawyer to find out what your options are. ---- Activism must be stopped! Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

I'd be contacting a lawyer now. Get the thing dealt with before there is a chance to fire her for sure....
