Hello all, does anyone know if there is a shortcut from my PC keyboard where I can move all faders at the same time on the Cubase 6 main mixer? Rather than going along attenuating sliders individually, it would be great to be able to move the lot in one go when I need to drop/move all faders by the same amount whilst watching the peak level at the master out.
Cheers. ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). The greatest achievement in the history of music! |

Cheers. What's wrong with the master out slider? |

I'd rather keep the master out level at 0db as much as poss and attenuate sub channel sliders myself.
Yes, i can't see anything in the shortcut list in Cubase 6, just wondered if i'd missed something, it would be handy to have this. ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). The greatest achievement in the history of music! |

Yep, already know about linking/grouping channels, just wondered if it was possible to perform my original question as a quick edit from a keyboard shortcut. ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). The greatest achievement in the history of music! |

Interesting. What is it you have to drag? ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). The greatest achievement in the history of music! |

Nope, can't get that to work, all that does is resets the fader to 0db on one channel.
Just in Cubase 6 now having another look. ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). The greatest achievement in the history of music! |

drag the fader handle .. can't remember the which combo of accelerator keys to use. I don't do this particular option. But, I know there is a combo of CTRL, ALT, SHIFT that will allow all selected track fader to move if you drag any one. I just can't remember what it is. Even after your explanation, I can't fathom why you would want to do it. But, to each his own. ---- I'm not insane. I'm reality challenged. |

Page 167 on the manual, "Link/Unlink Channels".
I guess the shortest way to do this would be to assign a keyboard shortcut to "Link Channels" to be applied after shift-clicking on the first and last tracks in the mixer. |

Well it looks that this is the most we can expect here, thanks for the interest on this one.
Basically, every now and then, i want to change 2 or 3 fader levels equally and precisely with each other, and rather than drag each one independently, or set up a group channel etc, it would be nice as an ultra quick edit, to be able to click on the faders you want to move together via holding down a shortcut key on the keyboard. It's a little akin to holding the Ctrl key down and clicking and selecting more than one photo or file that you want to delete or move or copy etc in a folder on your pc. ---- http://soundcloud.com/origin-1 J.S.Bach.(1685 - 1750). Just create a keyboard shortcut for 'link' and 'unlink' channels.
