i, for one, am a big fan of dsp-quattro, quite inexpensive and powerful
BTW the Version 4 has just been released a few weeks ago but unfortunately needs 10.5 to run...too bad!

I tried many times to use Audacity, but I could never get it to run on my machine.
Which version would that be? Audacity 2.0 need OS 10.4 or higher to run.

TwistedWave. I tested them all, coming from pc using Soundforge, and Twistedwave kicks ass. Supports vst's. Workflow is great. Everything is where you expect it to be.

I bought the NCH one and when installed found out it doesn't support vst's. Gladly i got my money back from them.
