I've tried this and works ok,but does require me to play it using the mod wheel to sound convincing, has anyone else made any nice theremin patches?
I guess I'd like to play the patch without having to use the mod wheel, is there any tips or tricks anyone can offer to achieve this in diva? thanks a bunch |

The patch doesn't really use MW, as far as I see. Maybe glide or the lag processor can fake the pitch bending, although this might not be completely satisfying - it compromises some flexibility. It *might* be plausible to trick this out a bit in the modifications tab further, as well, but I'd guess it would just give something else that's also a compromise. I bet TouchOSC (iPhone app) with accelerometer data would be pretty classic |

You might be interested in an excellent Zebra2 patch made by Howard: Factory Root/HS Divan.h2p. I know it's not Diva, but maybe you own Zebra as well... |

Hi, I wish I did,but I don't yet. Thanks though, maybe Howard will eventually attempt a theremin for diva at some point. |

I do own Dune, which I'm not sure if anyone else has tried the patch, but it has one called "Oxygene Lead MK" which I use and prefer over even the wavelore ether phone. I'm curious how one would sound in diva |

Urs, you're right. But don't you think that your great synths would work far below their capabilities with creating just a Theremin consisting of a simple sine wave with some portamento and vibrato? OTOH the (freeware) product I mentioned has overshooting portamento, a feature that (although I highly respect them) none of the u-he synths is capable of, AFAIK. |

ACE should be able to do that... feed Keyfollow through a highpass filter, then use that to modulate oscillators... might work, haven't tested... same is possible in Diva, maybe... |
