Hi all,
When I heard Plex the first time, I could not imagine that this synth can produce so much good sounds. But the OSC proofed the opposite. 5 points: Doc Jon - Tribal Dawn Perfect integration of the voice sounds. Groovy Reggee-feeling and wonderfull drum sounds. 3:20 min of fun! 4 points: Bzur - Whispered Shouts Ohh, again a wonderfull cinematic feeling. You allways get me with your wonderfull dynamic, chordchanges and atmospheric sounds. And what a great effect on the end !!! 3 points: Yeager - Die ! Driving arpeggios and dramatic drums right fom the begin on. I like the sync sound very much. 2 points: skyzone - gentille Nice asian percussion sounds. And deeeeeep spacy drums like in some Vangelis tracks. 1 point: z.prime - Plastique Ass moving rythm. I like the change at 1:05 to the slower part. BTW: you have a significant DC-Bias in your mp3. Any idea where it came from? cheers, photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

Here are our votes:
5 points to Doc Jon - Tribal Dawn 4 points to bzur - Whispered Shouts 3 points to Yeager - Die! 2 points to AdagioGM - Desiree 1 point to z.Prime - Plastique As always all the tunes you came up with were amazing and so very much better than what we first expected from Plex. Sorry not to comment on the tracks here. See the SoundCloud page for our comments. There is too much work to do Hope to see you on Augur, though we are a bit wasted these days. Maybe the muse will come back in time - after all it is May. Greetings and thanks to you who voted in our favor RuediRena |

5pt: Yeager - Die !
I was really surprised when I first heard this -- it's a great deviation from some of the other "signature Yeager tunes". I think the build-up is fantastic and the sheer power you found in Plex was mind blowing. And then, the end is beautiful. Great job! 4pt: bzur - Whispered Shouts As always, wonderful tune, it was a toss-up for first place to me. The variation throughout and production were tops. In the end, the more experimental track had the edge. 3pt: Bumtu - Plex Space Cafe I really liked this tune, a completely different style. Enjoyed the percussion a lot. A little repetitive to me, but kept interesting enough. The sounds throughout made the tune for me, great unique choices. 2pt: Doc Jon - Tribal Dawn The intro to this piece is just awesome, I think it overshadows the rest. I kept wanting it to break into something different. Regardless, a pleasant, perfectly produced tune. 1pt: Skyzone - Gentille You have the sort of free time I want! 4 tracks submitted in a month, is that a record? The one thing... the init Plex patch just rubs me the wrong way. I might enjoy a bit less quick part-switching in the middle but nonetheless, a good job. Keep it up. More points and/or a different mood would have yielded points for (no particular order): ReudiRena - Wing Over -- Intro/outro are great as is the patch selection. evo2slo - Easy As Breathing -- A bit too happy for me at the moment, reminds me of beaches and Corona. Vadymmykh - Move Your Azz -- Arpy goodness, a little generic for my taste. Quaoar - Implex -- Star Trek, oh my, great intro! |

Voting was hard for me this month. An excellent bunch of tracks!
Doc Jon - Tribal Dawn (5pts) Great song. Really like how the moody intro turns into a sunshiny melody and rhythm. Amazing what you did with the bass, played with such a nice touch. This track is a real keeper. Incredibly well done. Yeager - Die ! (4 pts) Fantastic thundering percussion. Killer melodies and arrangement. Awesome ending. bzur - Whispered Shouts (3 pts) Brilliant composition and sounds. Love how it ebbs and flows. Wonderful craftsmanship with strong feeling as well. RuediRena - Wing Over (Suspended in Mid-Air) (2 pts) Strangely funky and groovy, yet also challenging and experimental. Amorphous in the sense that each time I get a sense of what's happening it changes. Made me want to listen to it again and again. Bumtu - Plex Space Cafe (1 pt) Great slow methodical rhythm and spacey sounds. Incredible feel to this track. Really enjoyed the unusual composition and arrangement with all it's twists and turns. runner ups… AdagioCm - Desiree (folksy and epic at the same time), Skyzone - Gentille (nice rhythm and movement), z.prime - Plastique (amazing middle section), Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Return of the Nanozombiez (it's a nanozombiez world, we just live in it), r0z - Rainbow Mouse (great progression and voices) |

Great job everyone! And thanks everyone for votes this month for a track I didn't have much time to work out the wrinkles! Anyone who desires constructive criticism, feel free to PM me. See you next OSC, if I can get a start to my Augur track. |
