What about making an amp VST (no envelope) that's based on real amp circuits found in synths? Many people (myself included) feel that the amp section is / was an important component in determining an synths overall sound.

And by the same token, guitarists enjoy many modeled amplifiers, so why not people that use synths? And indeed, being able to boost a low output on a softsynth would be a huge step up from using a compressor and being able to add real synth flavor back in? WOW.
