no I'm in the UK and they get sent from here too, I just use US currency cause it's mostly Americans that buy anything from me plus it's easier to use a round number in dollars than it is in UK money.

Cool, I'm still having a hard time finding the components hehehe (yeah I'm such a n00b I know).
Obviously, a hard time with the B1, D1/D2 and IC1/IC2, since I get either no results at all or a lot of them and don't know what to pick.

If you already got the parts would you mind sharing the item id in whatever site you got them from (provided of course you did not have these lying around ).

im in the uk and used mouser Uk for B1 and the ICs, everything else i already have, from years of just buying packs of components as and when i had money

still dont have my soldering gear though, still in storage, so im almost ready to go, just as soon as i can get the probably most important bit for soldering lol

Ok, but then I get lost (I know, some would say why do you get into this train if you don't even know what bridge rectifier to get!!! But then we all have to start somewhere).
I saw mouser uk (guess it's the same as US) and for instance I get this bunch of bridge rectifiers, and then I'm not sure about the AMP requirements (1.5 or 1?).

And then I don't know if this inverter will do, as well as this amplifier.

@kpsychedelic bridge rectifiers aren't very common in guitar effects so you're not going to get chastised for not knowing which to get, I only put them into mine because I'm sick of having to find the right polarity power supply, the bridge changes it automatically

in this case the amp rating really doesn't matter cause the effect draws way under an amp, you can get either and to be honest I only put Mouser as an link because I know most of the US people buy from them more than anywhere else.

anyway I'll find and link the IC parts you need cause you had chosen a SMT (surface mount) version of the inverter which certainly would have annoyed you!

always make sure when you come to ordering things like this in the future that you check it's "mounting style" is "through-hole"

oh come on. doesnt everyone love screaming 'oh you f**king TWAT' at themselves for winding up with one erroneosly-chosen strip of SMD components in every f**king parts order?

as insonicbloom has already replied and to be honest is probably the best person to reply on the needs
ill just deal with the above statement, yep we all have to start somewhere, and with the help available here and on other sites (for other designs) theres never been a better time to start

the most important part of you area tota beginner is learning to solder, i would recommend buying a small piece of stripboard and a bag of random resistors or capacitors, both the strip board and bags of random components are usually pretty cheap, over here strip board is around £2 and bags of components are usually between £1 and £5 with more in the dearer bags obviously.
then use these to practice a bit of soldering as well as tinning your wires.
its not difficult, but you do want to get to a point where youre only using a small amount if solder for each join so it doesnt flow to other joins and short out the circuit

for the ic's i would also recommend getting some sockets, nothing worse than overheating your IC and burning it out and nothing working, with IC sockets you solder the socket in place then just plug the ic into it

and most of all feel free to ask any questions you have, we will all do our best to get you through to a working model, and hopefully a whole new hobby

Yes, thanks for the parts, will "order" my order and make it so that I might have the components before the PCB arrives.
I missed that point hahaha on the SMT, I had totally forgotten about that and as far as I understand SMT needs special equipments or at least a lot of experience to make the tiny soldering.

Well I'm not a total beginner, when it comes to talk about electronics, I've solder some stuff in the past and used a microcontroller (I think a simple 16f84 PIC), even messed around with an Ardunino, but I have tons to learn still, and as you say, I should start by improving the soldering skills.

if you want to learn electronics, stay away from microcontrollers - they are how you learn to program.

but yeah, while SMT is alot smaller - it is possible to use it with the gear you'd use for throug-hole stuff but it's alot harder

I'm afraid that is not possible, as a Computer Scientist, code always finds a way to follow me

as an electronics engineer - whenever I see code I blow it's ugly head off zombie style haha
