Granted. It's a fine line though. On one hand, I could say nothing and reveal the product when it's ready for sale, Apple-style, but if I want to start the conversation earlier (perhaps with the idea of soliciting suggestions for better names), I have to be a little scant with details. Also, and really this is the big point: This plugin is FUN! There aren't many plugins that can make you actually burst out laughing when auditioning presets... So, for instance, I could point out that the eight pitchshifting algos are quite serious business, and that the three delay-line models are pretty cool, or that the modulation is quite sophisticated, but it would be missing the point that with a couple of mouse clicks, you can make mad noises. Mad noises. You /can/ use it to problem-solve; design choruses, flangers, doublers, delays, panners, whatever. And you probably will some of the time. But I don't think that will give you any insight into just quite how f*cking nuts this thing is. Because you have all those modules, but they all interact. With configurable topology. And make the most mental noises you've ever heard. Want! |

Will this be a viable alternative to Echoboy & Crystalizer? ---- Analog synth or plugin? The elitists go silent when a blind test is involved. |

Certainly it can make similar effects to both of these plugins, but has multiple algorithms (including reverse ones) so you can choose how it attacks a sound. As per our previous products, we're trying to make something which can be helpful in more use cases than the competition. More flexibility and less predetermined by the limits of a specific algorithm. We set out to make a fun toy, it's become more serious now and whilst toy is no longer applicable, it's still a lot of fun. It's wild using it as a modular synth; CPU usage on it is now so low that you can get lots of instances going on a channel and build up complex sequences with it. |

Hey Dave, is the user discount already figured into the final price if you're logged in?
Edit: Yes, it is. I was expecting it to be a bit more pricey, nice ! |

The demo crashes Logic's AU validation tool, I tried it 3 times and it always crashed when trying to validate PitchFunk...
EDIT: Tried another time, it crashed again but now at east the Plug shows in Midi controlled effect Plugs as "incompatibel". |

Nice price! Can't wait to play with this tonight.
I love pitch-f**ker-uppers and modulation orgies. |

Dammit, this thing sounds FAN-TAS-TIC!!!!!!!!
Although a bit cpu-hungry sometimes on my ageing late 2007 Imac. Some truly evil sounds come out of this thing! I don't even know how to call them..... I almost blew up my headphones TWICE when working with feedback. Back to testing this beast..... Last edited by 33tetragammon on Fri May 18, 2012 2:31 pm; edited 1 time in total |
