I'm using studio one version 2 right now,but other then the music loops function there's no real way of integrating what cubase would call multi-track presets. I'm looking for a vst that can host other plugins, that i can then layer inside of it.And then save the layered sounds with fx as presets.
Any good options, stable that come to mind? I'm using both mac/pc |

Hey Bobby, I have used this plugin called Zen, it's a Vst and Vsti host that saves presets inside of itself and it does work in Studio One V2, here is a Link:http://www.bigtickaudio.com/zen/about-zen
Maybe this will help my friend. |

Bidule will save entirely different plugin chains and their settings as presets. Mac/Pc and very stable (for me - going on 6-7 years of use). ---- drab |

Forget about ZEN atm...it doesn't feature any layering options till now...it is planned for future releases but already since June last year or even longer...
For what your asking for, there are several options available like already named Plogue Bidule, DDMF's Metaplugin, energyXT, Chainer, NI Kore and so on... But if you have a little time, you should wait for a new weapon on the horizon: It's called MUX, developed from MuTools... Some infos are here : http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/mux.html and following... This is the internal modular sound engine of MuTools sequencer called MuLab and it's a ver very mighty weapon... The developer is porting it in this moment to VST/i, it will be quite cheap in comparison to Bidule, which would be the only "competitor" for it... It's features all the stuff you need: 1. a complete modular sound system containing a whole bunch of internal synth/sampler/multisample building... it's advantage: you don't have to go too deep like with Reaktor/Synthedit/Synthmaker...instant results, very easy to use... 2. acts as a VST Host ( and you can combine any VST/i with the internal components in a modular way and save these as patches) 3. Build your own user interface easy by drag n drop... The MUX has 2 GUI's a "Deep Editor" where you do all the internal routing and a "Play Editor" where you can set up your own user interface for your created patches...while it comes already with hundreds of patches (instruments and effects) 4. Jo, the developer is a very nice and responsive guy, supporting his products in a really exemplary manner...a person, who is really worth to be supported 5. last but not least: it sounds absolute incredible...I did recently a Sylenth1 clone only with the internal engine and it sounds very very good... I did (together with the developer, who has finetuned my too oldschool sounding arrangement It is pure the internal soundengine, which you'll get in the VST/i, no external instruments or FX (except the drum and voice samples)... All the examples on my soundcloud page are 100% MUX: http://soundcloud.com/trancit01/ I can really recommend to have a deeper look at it... MuTools offers a free version of MuLab http://www.mutools.com/mulab-product.html , which contains the MUX already, where you can try the sound engine... all patches you save with the free edition will be loadable in the upcoming VST/i, so you can already prepare your soundlibrary even if the VST/i isn't ready for now but will in near future... Try it, you will not regret it!!! |

Usine has VST and VSTI version too, it's a modular host so you can create racks and personal interface easily !
And you can route program change ( like all midi messages) to internal preset manager. http://www.sensomusic.com/ |

This is only in beta and according to the eula, is only for evaluation purposes, not for any production use unless I've read something wrong? |
