changes to 'princess singer'... changed organ intro; major change to guitar tone in 2nd part of solo ('simulated feedback'); removed most vocal fx during guitar solo...

Just listened to Princess Singer. Sounds like a cross between Hotel California and Jimi. The Jimi refers not to the actual notes, but the groove/ambience in parts of Purple Haze. It's difficult to describe, more related to a feeling than something tangible. In other words, a vibe. I heard a couple of earlier versions of this track, but I think this is better than those. I'll try to listen to Raven Witch Woman in a day or two.

Nice work Smile

seismic, thanks a lot!

i'll see if i can work up a couple or 3 more over the weekend...

i've already got a closing piece; a 'raven witch woman reprise' (instrumental), but want to work in a few others prior to releasing that.

(...checking out the '90s catalog for a couple of 'oldies' to rehash...)

Just played "Vision Of You" This certainly achieves the live feeling you were going for. Trent propels this along with gusto. I love that "Flight Of The Bumble Bee" tempo guitar solo.

Nice work Smile

seismic, thanks!

'vision of you' was first recorded in 2002. encapsulated within it is a rendition of 'rubber room', first recorded in 2009.

i'm thinking of raising the level of the vocals in the 1st part, and turning up the gain on the guitar solo just a tad.

ok, one last bump before kvr oblivion...

updates:

princess singer: 'focused and laid off' the 'simulated feedback on the guitar.

raven witch woman: took a little bit of the 'excessive boom' out of the kick.

vision of you: boosted the 1st half vocals a tad. raised the guitar solo a smidgeon

saw you in a dream: laid off the vocals a tad. boosted the drums and guitar solo a bit.

angel of the mercy killing: 'clarified' the drums. upped the vocals a wee bit.

Wow! I just listened to Angel Of The Mercy Killing. The track is great, but that guitar solo is totally insane. I reckon you've been watching Belew videos.

Fantastic stuff, mrblitz Shocked

that is dblue glitch. the way glitch chops it up and re-arranges the phrasing, i was thinking 'this almost sounds like a horn; like one of those free jazz jams from the be-bop (post-bop?) era'. maybe belew listened to a lot of coltraine?

(i don't want to compare myself to coltraine, but dblue glitch did something remarkable with the guitar solo)

anyway, as always, thanks!

(ecit: actually, i was thinking 'trumpet' and not sax)
