Wouldn't it be more beneficial to have a firewire connection instead of the ADAT connection since they have not made ADATs for many, many years?? |

I use the ADAT (optical) connection between my studio computer audio interface and the receptor. I think the optical connection is still a great technology for connecting multiple digital devices. I have had issues with firewire connection hardware conflicts that have never been an issue with ADAT. |

Thanks for the reply. I want to do recording with my receptor actually holding and processing my VSTs but when I use the receptor in Cubase, the recording software does not save the receptor VST that was used only the MIDI information. The program makes me reload the information everytime I reopen the saved project (royal pain). I'm looking at removing all of my VSTs from the receptor and placing them back on my main CPU. This will stop all of the problems. I was sold a bill of goods on using the receptor for recording. Unless someone has a option that will stop the need to reload that information, I will try to get Muse support to help me remove those programs. That will probably be impossible to get any help from them. Britt |

Britt,
You should be able to recall the VST patches in Receptor by saving a Receptor multi patch. Multis are saved in the upper right hand corner of the Receptor mixer screen in Receptor viewer. It's unclear from your post, but if you are using Uniwire there are some things you can do to have your Receptor presets load up seamlessly: 1) Open the uniwire interface in cubase and click the "update bank/patch list". If your multi is loaded on Receptor it should display the name there. 2) save your cubase session. Now it should load that multi EVERY time you load cubase. If you don't use Uniwire you might look into seeing if Cubase can send a program change out to Receptor that loads the appropriate multi when you load your session. I'm not sure if it can be done in cubase, but I know other sequencers out there will do this for you. A final note about the software installs- You should have received discs when you bought each plugin title (unless it uses the ilok key for registration). Unfortunately we aren't really trained to help with the installing of these plugins on your home computer, so you'll have to contact the developers of the plugin for that. There is no requirement to remove the software from Receptor if you install it on your home computer, but in case your curious it can be removed from Receptor by going to the "setup" page in Receptor viewer and clicking on "uninstall plugins". Just highlight the plugin you want to remove in the list and click OK to uninstall it. I've asked one of our support staff members here (Gary) to contact you regarding other support options for these issues. Take care and have a nice afternoon. - Kevin |
