Well, there is always the 'Dan Dean Bass collection' which includes a couple of Alembic's.

Dan Dean Bass comes int he following formats for $25 download: http://www.dandeanpro.com/sample_lib/product_detail.php?pid= 11 Quote: KONTAKT (Digital Download) - $24.95
Not compatible with the Kontakt "free" player. Requires the full/pro version of KONTAKT. Apple EXS-24 (Digital Download) - $24.95 Propellerhead NN-XT (Digital Download) - $24.95 Giga (CD-ROM) - $24.95 SFZ Dimension Pro (Digital Download) - $24.95 So... you get direct access to the WAV files, and you can do your own mapping in whatever sampler you want... or if Live sampler supports SFZ you're all set... in any case, just get the Kontakt or SFZ format or whatever and remap the WAVs yourself! |

I have had access to them in tracking sessions but it never crossed my mind to sample them and I certainly would not go buy one at the prices they go for! Rent one and sample it? Yeah However the above seems a much more convient method, Cheaper and alot less hassle. If one comes by I may do it if there is time and spector bass is quite a regular (my friend Rick has real nice 5-string example) so could maybe do that one also. No promises of time frame though. If i do manage to do either Dave, I will sure be intouch mate ---- Shit For Blood, Piss For Brains |

OP, pick up either Giga or Kontakt format and import directly. Problem solved. P.S.: I would go for the Kontakt version, if anything for future "expandability"... |

Oh I will do, I will do a proper job as it will all be in my own time. Just one small question, In "Damped" do You/it as a term refer to what I know and call "Palm Muted"? Sorry if its a obvious 'of course it does you muppet!' but sampler terminology honestly am not upto date/well up on mate Cheers and glad the ricky has done well with ableton users Dean |
