hi! i bought this tool some weeks ago - i expected to bring out some cool shapes in my sound design / loops etc.....but in the end....hm - what can i say - the result is most of the time not what i expected...until now this tool brings my sound not really forward...
or may be i just need to spend much more time with this tool... what are your experiences with this tool ? any tips for a beginner like me ? thanx & all the best, olli ---- Latest VOCAL Sample Pack @ Resonance Sound: 'Cory Friesenhan Vocal Sessions' http://tinyurl.com/brqqwaj ![]() |

I tried the demo and really wanted to like it, but just found it...meh. Here's what I wrote in another thread:
cryophonik wrote: Well, I had high hopes for Relectro and didn't want to believe all the negative comments here, but I had a go with the demo last night and I sorta have to agree with the majority - it's "OK". I found that it is most effective on single or minimal percussion lines (e.g., hihats, congas and other hand drums), slightly better on top loops, and pretty much ranged from meh to overboard/unmusical on full drum loops. Whether I was flipping through presets or tweaking away in real-time, the results I got all seemed to be within a pretty limited range of filtered blips and bleeps with some delay. In other words, I felt like the plugin's "sweet spot" was very narrow. I haven't given up yet, though - I'll give it another spin this weekend without the context of high expectations, which may have had something to do with my disappointment.

The lack of anything new for a long time from Linplug gave me high hopes for this plugin
It is a shame to say this but it is a complete wasted effort as far as i am concerned I really hope Peter can get back to his old ways but right now i have XT2 flashbacks and images of how the greats can fall apart as time goes on |

Quite sparse hi hat or hand percussion loops can work well. If using a full drum, it's worth playing with the Leak and Amount controllers a lot and also with the MIDI, LFO and step modulators so that you can mix the raw loop with the heavily processed sound on a beat-by-beat basis (although it would be handy to have some kind of swing/shuffle function to alter the timing of when it moves from step to step). You have to play it like an instrument to get the most out of it; just using it static on a loop doesn't generally result in worthwhile results. |

i tried Relectro together with Audiodamage's BigSeq2 (first BS2 then Relectro) and i got great results with percussive and with tonal material. ---- "It dreamed itself along" ![]() |

Relectro, in particular, is just embarassinly bad - I mean, at the very least they have all those effects in Albino, why not put them in this? ---- "What embecile composed this list :/" |
