Why? You haven't released it yet.

lol! Handy to have a good loop browser, if only i could download one and install one! I've just tried to install Loophorse from 3 different websites after saving the installer, and christ knows what shite it is trying to install! When it did install, it froze my pc. And the Sonic Explorer link is dead! Tracker 3 i cannot seem to find.

I presume these are all free softwares? Could someone provide a link if poss to any of the above that works properly with Windows 7 if poss?

Many thanks.

@Timerider: sorry no links for reso right now, it's still in closed testing. just pointing its way, so stay tuned. regarding your question: it's optimized for win7 & 8, but is also xp-compatible.

Now that is great, many thanks indeed! Nice to have a simple piece of software that does exactly what it says, without AVG this AVG that and a dozen other things it wants to install you've no use of! I can now browse on my normal drive, my percussion loops without booting up on my music production hard drive, for I have a dual boot set up.

Many thanks again!

Wayne.

Sonic Explorer works just like Windows Explorer except it plays and displays each WAV file when highlighted. Controls are there to repeat and select sections of the audio file. Very handy.

Check the ProXL website.

OK guys these are all good suggestions but is there anything similar that will also allow playback of Samples on your midi keyboard. So you can pitch the samples and play octave lower etc?

I am still searching for such a program and have tried most dedicated Softsamplers. Only Vsampler and ShortCircuit can do it and both now dont work on Win7 64bit.

Basically I want to browse to folder and click on a sample and immediately play it on the keys. NO IMPORTING FIRST like Kontakt etc. Just browse/click/play.

I'm going nuts trying to fond such a feature ;< Any suggestions?

I've started using Reaper. I work in Ableton Live but have Reaper open with the media browser maximized. Nothing fancy but completely hassle free so far and for the cost of some other sample browsers you get a whole DAW. I'll be watching resonic though. Smile
