Been using Orange on my Mac for some years now. Still an absolute belter of a Vocoder afer alll these years. I've never felt the need to look for anything else and IMHO I think you will find it far superior to the MS2000.

I don't know. The Korg vocoders are pretty cool. I'm going to write Tone 2 and ask if they will do a standalone of the vocoder in ElectraX. Some of the sounds are great, but no audio input, you can only load audio so it's impracticable for whole songs. I believe if they did this, where it could either be used like a standalone or accept midi notes in - Vocadex- it would be a huge hit. I'll probably get the same argument I got from ew of NI when I asked if you could save Reaktor ensembles as .dll's.
'Why would we do that? It would deteriorate sales of Reaktor.' (which I don't think, If anything, I think it would double sales)
I hope they are receptive to it.
(Then I think you would have a good Mac version too)

Have you tried Tone2's Warmverb? It is a cool all-purpose effect and it does include a vocoder.

buy razor from NI (can be used with reaktor or the free reaktor player). you get one of the best additive synths available at the moment and a stunning vocoder on top.

What about Sugar Bytes' Robotronic? I've never used it, but the demos sound good, the interface seems intuitive, it's available for Mac/64-bit, and it's from the guys with some of the best formant filters around. Only $99.
