i dunno some of the samples sound like they came from a RoMpler. listening to the mp3 demoes alot of them have not been chromatically recorded. using one sample for other semitones sound artificial.
Dont mean to be critical, but if u want to make a name for yourself u should sample the instruments chromatically(1 note 1 sample) and have more than one sample for each note so that u use the "round robin" feature in kontackt and giga. doing that makes the instruments sound much more realistic. but its a good effort. ---- If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So. @realmarco
Thanks for your opinion. I sort of agree with most of what you say, however, there is not always possible to get the things perfectly right. Some of the instruments sampled are not chromatic (the bamboo chimes have just 5 notes, the vuvuzela have only natural harmonics, so playable are just 3 or 4 sounds, octave, fifth and octave again). Also, most of those free samplers I made patches for, don't have a round robin option and Independence is limited at 25 sounds. |

A quick news bump:
1. I move all my sample packs from Downloading.com because of the slow speed, missing files, waiting time before downloads, pop-ups and all the annoying stuff that we hate. 2. I got for a while Komplete 8 and I will try to get my future packs to feature round robin and maybe some articulations switches. First moved is the choir patch. More info here: http://mihaisorohan.blogspot.no/2012/06/moving-all-sample-pa cks-from.html?spref=fb thanks very much. I downloaded the mulab set of the choir sounds and was about to embark on converting the .ogg files to .wav or .aiff and make an exs24 instrument with them. figured I may as well mention it to you. first to see if you're okay with that, and second to say that if you make the .wav files available, I'll throw together an exs instrument and send it to you and you can include that format. let me know. ---- macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, 4 gigs ram, 250GB HD, Logic Studio 9 my blog and some music: http://rabbitearsmotel.wordpress.com/ |

That sounds great The easiest way to get the wav files is to download the Kontakt patch, open it with Kontakt or with the free Kontakt player and re-save as uncompressed format, this way you'll have the wav files The ogg files in Mu.Lab patch have some crossfades in the loop points and might click in other samplers, the wav files in Kontakt are not. |

is the mulab patch for choir a downgraded quality version or is it of same quality as the Kontakt patch?
I appreciate you giving your patches to us! |

The Mu.Lab patch first, is ogg, which is a compressed format, second, the crossfades in the loop points had to be made on the files themselves, so when you load them in another sampler you must have exactly the same loop points (which is not easy if you don't know them) or you'll get some clicks and pops. The Kontakt version takes advantage of it's non destructive effects, so no clicks and pops. |

The simple reason that MaestroSorrow had a hand in making the Choirs (and since I am a power user of choirs of all sorts) I'm downloading these and hope to create music remotely sounding like the master's works. *A big fan here* |
