Don't you mean subtractive synthesis? Does it install a toolbar? |

I like your style. I don't worry about the bones and if there is a toolbar installer, then BT NetProtect Plus/McAfee just bats it away and installs the instrument, no sweat. Cheers, catch you later, when I've had chance to try it. ---- Dripfeed |

Is there really no better way to make some money (of course you need it) than with this damned toolbars?? Maybe with some advertisement for vodka on a nag screen? Just one idea that came into my mind... |

Maybe I should also go this way. On 3000 downloads maybe I get one donation for 10$. If only 30% of them would not click away the toolbar install..... ![]() |

I have installed and then uninstalled many more synthesis than I chose to buy or use. And I've downloaded many of them several times. I don't think you as a developer can consider number of downloads as your real user base. It is likely much much lower than that. |

The toolbar companies pay for the installation of the toolbar. I think it doesn't matter if you uninstall it afterwards. That's what I wanted to indicate. (and that the request for donations is quite futile, so maybe going the adware crap is indeed the better way?) |

Basically if you are expecting to get paid for your work, then charge for it. If you make it donation based and don't get donations, well, what to do? The adware stuff is far worse IMO. Either you are in business or you aren't, but don't make it a situation where people have to trust some third party toolbar they never heard of before if they want to support your product.
Anyhow, I don't mean to be a downer so I'll stop |

If I'd get the hassle with toolbars on one of your free plugins, I wouldn't purchase the other plugins, either. So you would have one customer less. In case of Syncersoft I would recommend to sell the (once free) plugins for a smaller fee, for example $5 or so...that's an amount affordable for everyone who is interested in this plugin. |
