What you describe, except for the hooves, sounds like Tull's This Was where they are all in a forest looking a bit Hobbitish.

Maybe Jethro Tull - Songs From The Wood?

Unfortunately google cannot perform searches based on visual memories/description, or can it? Definitely a thing they should look at implementing though.

I dug a track a called "Bird on a wire" or something that was this beautiful late 90's IDM, that I had bookmared on a playlist at a site somewhere.

Unfortunately the site got lost, and I can't manage to dig out which kind of artist or album that was?

Searching for Bird on a wire just gives me Lenny Cohen Very Happy

Need help to ID 70's band/album cover
Remember having this album in the 70's and I'm struggling to remember the band and name of the album.
All I can recall is a man sat down and has hooves instead of feet, might of been other people in the background as well and in a forest, not sure though.

Thought it was Jethro Tull but it isnt, or maybe one of the prog rock bands I was into like Gentle Giant, but its not them.

any help greatly appreciated
Thanks

No, I've looked at all the Tull covers , its not him.

The cover I recall was 100% a photo of a seated man wearing britches or plusfours and with whatever process they used back then to doctor photos the lower legs were animal like and feet were cloven/hooves.
