Another FR, is there a way to make the LFO gradually comes in when using the delay knob? Currently is seems like it is just off and on, and using the delay just moves the off/on point.

I'd use the Mod Matrix for that. F1/2 LFO Depth as destination and MOD ENV as source.

But yes, getting a button to switch between direct or linearly could be useful.

Ah thanks, that helps Smile

Hi George,

I wonder if I might trouble you for 2 more tabs (9-12) and (13-16) of mod matrix slots? You had to know that one was coming eventually. But seriously, plenty Mod Slots are a must with this kind of synth Wink

Yes, more mod matrix tabs are on the wish list.

I wouldn't hate having a reverb added, it looks like there is room there for it in the GUI Smile

EQ and Reverb have been on the wish list for a long time Smile However I'm not too keen on the latest. A good reverb algorithm can take a lot of CPU cycles and sometimes it's better to have it in your bus chain.

I very seldom use built-in reverb and eq. Unless the modules have quite unique characters and controls (Zebra2), I can make do without these tacked onto the end of the internal chain. That kind of space and adjustment usually comes later for me. Besides much space and separation can be achieved by using Coronas Unison and spread parameters in subtle(or not) ways, along with the Chorus but esp. very short delay times in the Delay fx module. Coronas delay extends from 0ms to 1sec. One can use the Crossfeed option to feed part of one ch delay to the other and vice versa. You can get a lot of space and effect with that option

I personally dont need effects in a synth.
I always turn them off to demo patches.

My feature request would be to have an option to disable all effects so even if a patch was created using an effect it would not be loaded with the preset.

Some effects are part of the patch. Turning them off destroys the patch....... Shrug

YEah, and I'd like the option to make some part of my patches. Anyhow I can live with it either way, just I do appreciate the reverb in Diva for example.

I don't want to have to change presets on any outboard effects every time I change the synth's presets. If I want to use external effects somewhere in the process of composition I can always do that and disable the internal effect.

For example Delay times set to compliment the Arp Rate are part of the patch and are meant to played as such. Turning the delay off in that case would destroy the patch as it was meant to be played.

I would be bored to death with completely dry patches and annoyed even further if I had to construct an effects chain for every instance of a plugin just to add delay, chorus and/or reverb......and again the option always remains to replace any onboard effects with outboard effects if one so wishes.....but having to do that each time I audition a patch or load an instance of a synth would drive me nuts......

Im not too big on effects either, I do t like it when I'm demoing a synth and I feel like the character of the filters and osc's are masked with a bunch of crap. I do like the ones in Corona however, tasteful and useful. Still, I think most people would agree that Development time would best be spent on the actual synth, who doesn't have a decent eq and reverb these days?

There is one little exception to my stance on this. When the effects can be modulated in the mod matrix, I'm all for piling them on! The virus TI has this ability, and I think that it helps to take it further into "proud to be a digital synth" territory. I find myself using the phaser for this purpose frequently. Maybe keyboard tracking on phaser frequency (only works for a mono patch though) for instance.

This is what I'm saying....effects are part of the synth's architecture just as a filter or EG....You don't have to use them. I've got a ton of patches that don't use a filter at all....besides there are third part filter plugins available so why make filters a part of the synth? You see where I'm going? Smile

Also just having them doesn't mean you have to go overboard with them, subtle use of an LFO for example is possible, we don't consider that to be masking the character of the OSC and filters Shrug

I'm with george here. Unless the reverb is stellar, like the one in the Virus, it's better to not include it. This isn't hardware after all.
