I'd really like to know how to emulate the synth used in this song starting at 1:15. I can get close, but maybe some of you can help.

maybe you could upload a sample of how far you got? *chews toothpick*
AFAIK it is a classic PWM envelope-modulated (thin->thick) waveform which is overlayed with a delayed (as in delayed start, not with a delay on it) triangle wave... unfortunately at the moment i can only listen on the laptop speakers but it takes 3 minutes to try let us know how of your progress |

Didn't you have a post already about this Like i told you in your other post it's pwm or detuned saws.the only thing that really differs between this and the grum one is this is actual analogue as one half of daft punk (guy-manuel) produced this.the other thing that makes them differ is the blatant tape saturation which is giving the mids and low mids a thicker timbre and most obviously the chords (it's inversions,i think) TIMT ---- It's all about the chef not about the kitchen |

Ok, here is my try: http://www29.zippyshare.com/v/91665349/file.html
I used Sylenth1, 2 saw waves a bit detuned, some cutoff env. to make it "fade away" then, reverb and some saturation as written above. I layered it with a triangle that has slow attack but I'm still not happy with triangle... I think I'm not so far from the original but It could be closer to it too |
