was just playing around and came up with this in-betweener. It won't feature on any EPs or albums….at least not in its present form anyway. It's not good enough for full release . I just uploaded it cos it's not overly bad , and someone may like it , even in its current , rushed incarnation.
Used Krakli k700 and ZebraCM for the majority of the synthwork. All the beats were built from oneshots , and fed into a machine that smashed their atoms into nucleic debris , and subsequently carefully pieced them together again with countless robotic arms , egg cartons , and lots of sellotape. or maybe not http://soundcloud.com/2ndmouse/elegant-assassin All feedback reciprocated , and I'll try to be as detailed , honest and analytical as I can. Wow. For a piece of "playing around" this is really impressive. I love the synth sounds on here and the percusssion and glitchy bits are really punchy. Lovely melodies and the mix is great. This is one of my favourite tracks from you.
Great track |

Great track Many thanks Seesmic =) I'm sure I could do a lot more with this cos I threw it together in about 4 hours , over the space of about 3 sessions. It's rough and loose cos I Kept being interrupted by the dog. I'm sure it would benefit from more attention , but the trouble is , there are a couple of hundred other tracks vying for my attention too , and i'm eager to work on something new all the time , so I generally don't stand still on a track for too long. Just like a bee , moving from flower to flower , collecting what pollen there is to gain. If someone spots more pollen , i'll go back and buzz around it a bit longer =) Thanks again !! |

sounds like we work in similar ways.
I tend to work on multiple tracks , and just work on an edit at a time , then onto another edit on a different track , and I keep doing that until I consider one finished. Got less time to polish them these days though , so they can be a little rough round the edges |

I tend to work on a track until I have got it to a pre-defined point (composed, levelled, panned, eq'd). It used to be that the composition took the lion's share of the time, but mixing seems to be more time-consuming these days. |

I'll happily loop 8 bars over and over for an hour , just experimenting and dropping notes in , then takin em out again. Because I work in short bursts like that , I can focus on one particular area to the exclusion of all others , but i miss having the time I used to have. I'd compose 24/7 if i could. |

Good track. I like the way it changes, I enjoyed the experimental atmospheric start, and the great beats halfway through. It keeps a very similar vibe though.
Nicely done Cheers |
