Hi guys,
I am starting my long journey solely as a player, into someone who wants to use Ableton Live to enhance my performances. I hope you will bear with me if it is a simple question. Basically, I have set up drum racks to provide LED feedback on the launchpad. However when I come out of User 1 and into mixer on the launchpad, there are flashing lights there, which I don't think should be. I recorded a little vid. http://youtu.be/CPnd4ZjS-No Any idea why they should be showing up on the mixer view Thanks Gary |

In the video you're in User 1 and Session View, not Mixer View. Which flashing light are you referring to? There are a few. It's not easy to tell from such a wobbly video Can you show the computer screen too, perhaps? |

Yes, sorry, I meant session view. I have uploaded a better video just! I have no idea why it is triggering in session view, although when i went into midi map mode in Ableton and hit the light that was flickering in session view, it came up as Note E5. However in drumracks, i have nothing assigned into Note E5.

I presume it has something to with sending MIDI to the Launchpad from Drum Rack on Track 8, while Drum Rack is receiving MIDI from the Launchpad on Track 2 (why are you doing that btw? ). |
