I was really looking forward to it since I use devil loc on EVERYTHING.

But I'm finding it pretty much unusable...Anyone else find their Little Radiator gathering digital dust?

I want to. I really do. but i cant make it produce anything that i want to keep.

It sounds more glitchy than distorted to me. But not the cool glitch...haha.

I use it, but I have to be careful how hot signals I send to it ... Obviously it doesn't work well on all material but I found the distortion it induces really pleasing actually. I use it on synth leads, flutes etc ... Gives a nice bite

So it really is the plug glitching then? Why should I worry about how hot a signal is compared to normal plugs of this nature?

I think it's pretty wonderful myself, it's one of the ITB tools I constantly reach for alongside Decapitator, VCC & TwinTube. But I do find it best when used with a very light touch as is so often the case with ITB saturation/vibe plugins.

It's great for removing the sterile hi-end splash from digital sound sources. Can't wait for the full product.

Well even if the 'heat' is set to minimum I find that I have to lower the volume of the signal I sent to the plug-in to not to get too distorted tone. Try it!

Thanks for the vol tip guys. I tried it and I got a good analog vibe using Razor...In fact, I got pretty excited when I enabled/disabled it to hear the effect.

So basically if something in my mix sounds too hifi, clean/digital. I'll lower the vol apply the little radiator and see if it sits better vibe wise.

What I tend to do is start with mix at about 5% a gradually dial in the 'heat'. Some timbres really benefit from the distortion too, so for those start with mix around 50% and dial in 'heat' to taste. It's amazing quite how much timbal range you can get with those two knobs alone!

Radiator is great on Bass and Piano. mix 40% and heat at about 10%.
It's tricky plugin though because some tracks wont make a difference unless you reverse this setting so lots of heat and less mix.
