You can edit your info to be blank or meaningless and delete all your postings (good luck on that if you've actually participated). Then all they have are server backups which I bet they overwrite quickly. |

Not really Dave mate. To permanently delete the whole account go here http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=185698814812082 Go down to "Deleting Accounts" then expand the text. Here's what it says when you read. Quote: How do I permanently delete my account?
If you deactivate your account, your profile (timeline) disappears from the Facebook service immediately. People on Facebook won't be able to search for you, though some info, like messages you sent, may still be visible to others. We also save your profile (timeline) information (ex: friends, photos, interests, etc.) in case you want to come back. If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. Please keep in mind that you won't be able to reactivate your account or retrieve any of the content or information you've added. Before you do this, you may want to download a copy of your info from Facebook. Then, if you'd like your account permanently deleted with no option for recovery, log in to your account and fill out this form. As soon as you follow the instructions it asks you for Password and Captcha just as if your Deactivating however it then tells you your account and all other pages associated with your account will be permanently deleted too within 14 days. Mine is gone, it wentwithin 12 days just depends. I just tried your theory of logging in and NO JOY somy FB account is deleted now thank f**k.. If i ever do get another it will be a band page only and nobody but my old man will know my personal account LOL. Rob |
